Tx for that. If the deal with Ainsworth is true, no matter what happens, he will always be a QPR legend! So that is about 36 years? Has (s)he ever estimated how much that has cost? Would not be a small amount! Respect.
I’ve never thought about the cost of his travels but as you say, it must run in to a fair few quid over the years. It’s a bit of a habit for him now and reckon if he misses just one game on his run, then he might stop his away travels. Takes a lot of planning around birthdays, weddings, christenings etc and no doubt he’s pissed a few people of by not going to their celebrations
Very hard to guess what a day watching the Rs averages out at in today's prices for all those years but including the ticket, travel and refreshments, I would have thought about £30?? That is about £40k. I suspect more!!
I'm sure my first home match in 1968 it was 1s/6d to get in and prices didn't take off substantially till the 90s...
Got the email telling me it was my last chance to get the loyalty prices for an ST next season, 24 hours to go.... Problem is I’m not loyal, I don’t even think it’s a virtue.
