please log in to view this image Carabao Cup First Round QPR VS Peterborough United Loftus Road Tuesday 14th August 2018 7.45pm QPR are set to host Peterborough United in round one of the 2018/19 Carabao Cup competition. Following the regionalised first-round draw in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam this morning, Rangers will welcome Steve Evans' League One Posh to Loftus Road on the week commencing Monday 13th August 2018. It’s worth noting that a rule change will see no extra time in all matches bar the final if necessary in the Carabao Cup this season. Instead, ties ending in a draw after 90 minutes, up to and including the semi-finals, will go straight to penalties. Furthermore, penalty shoot-outs will revert back to the ABAB format, after ABBA was trialled last term. Not much history to be found on this fixture, and no exciting videos to be found for this fixture either I'm afraid. My sincere apologies. Hope those who are going enjoy the game and we don't have our dream of a cup run dashed at the first hurdle, as has been so often the way! I'll post the full match preview when it is on the official site. History; Played 10 QPR wins 4 Peterborough wins 3 Drawn 3
drop one of the dream 3 midfield though fro Manning (see other thread) and maybe swap keepers and Lynch
Normally the cup is a chance to play some youngsters but as that's now the 1st team who are going to play.
You can tell thats a Reading kit ...................... he's got no balls. Anyway, hopefully, we can snag our first win and get some momentum going forward.
No extra time? Straight to penalties? So any team with the lead will practice time wasting to good effect.
Will probably go. Not working far away these days. I’d really like us to rest ze German ahead of West Brom but not sure we have anyone who can come in.
I would play Manning and Pawel for this one. However, it would be good to get a moral boosting win on the board and not play an U18 team.
Trying not to be negative but when we play lower opposition and get knocked out of the cup this time of year the players coming in look like they have never seen each other before yet alone played together but as thats how we played for the most part on Saturday does not bode well!!!
