Their first choice keeper, Bursik, picked up an injury on England under 21 duty, and so they have signed Frank Fielding as a replacement. They sit 7th in the table, after winning their previous three before the recent loses. Their top scorer is Nick Powell with 7 goals, and glancing through their squad, they have some experienced and quality players, such as Joe Allen, Tom Ince and Steven Fletcher. As for us, I think we should be honest in admitting how many time we've watched and re-watched the goal from Monday night. Class finish from Gray. Another good result on Sunday, and we'll be further cementing our place near the top of the table. It seemed that last weekend, playing last, on Monday night, played into our hands, and seeing how high we could finish the week motivated the players. Ours is the last Championship fixture this weekend too, so here's hoping that mentality continues. You can discuss below if you agree/disagree if playing last is an advantage or not. Team News: QPR: Sam McCallum will all miss out for the R’s, whilst Lyndon Dykes and Jordy de Wijs are still struggling. Stoke City: Sam Clucas and Abdhallah Sima will be looking to return. Pre-match talk: Mark Warburton (QPR Manager): “We have some very, very tough games coming up and we’ll be focusing on one at a time. That mantra won’t change, there’s no doubt that we have another very difficult test against Stoke this weekend.” Michael O’Neill (Stoke City Manager): “They are a really good side, they have some important some very creative footballers, so we will have to be at our best, take care of the ball, but we have produced some good away performances this season so we head there with confidence.” Enjoy those who'll be there, and as always... ...COME ON YOU SUPER HOOPSA!!!
Think the game a couple of seasons ago is worthy of inclusion of games to remember........ They stormed into a 2 goal lead then Ebs danced through them to score just as they were about to launch into a rendition of Delilah......... we went on to win 4-2 in the p1ssing rain........ Also no excuse needed to show this one again for us old farts.......
Great stuff. Dave Thomas running down the sideline, ( socks down as per usual ) ….. Webb gets the decider. Brilliant.
Last time I got to Loftus Road I think it was the final game in 2016 against Bristol city, he scored the late winner, a Worldy. Wasn't a tory that day!
The 3-0 win against them in 2008 was a bit special as well. Luigi di Canio got the best out of them that day. And to think that Stoke went on to get promotion after that. Remember Pulis being very honest and complimentary and there being only a handful of Stoke fans there. That was probably Rangers' best game that season.
Injury News Lyndon Dykes is still out with an ankle injury. Lee Wallace is a doubt after he felt tightness in his hamstring. Charlie Austin, Stefan Johansen, Andre Dozzell, Albert Adomah and Moses Odubajo are all being assessed after picking up knocks in the game v Derby and haven't trained. It seems like we're getting down to the bare bones of the squad. We seem to be picking up a lot more injuries than we did last season. Terry Fenwick will be at the KPFS on Sunday to be inducted in the Forever R's Club. please log in to view this image
