i don't want to sell him, but if we ever even considered letting him go, it would have to be from anywhere of 13million and above. I think we could get a max of 15 million out of him.
Young,England International and still has that pace. Downing went for £20 Mil last summer. David Bentley went for £15 Mil a few years back and so on. Even the Walcott of this season is better then Downing.
I wouldn't sell him just yet because i think he is a good backup player and is useful tactically. Thats said if Liverpool are stupid enough to pay over £15 million for him then I would sell.
Even fast strikers don't hit their best years until 24-25ish. RVP is beginning to reach his prime at 28. Walcott is 22, and I wouldn't sell him for under 25M. He isn't as easy to replace as everyone thinks he is. Same with Ramsey. All of you experts start picking this player and that out of the air, and 95% aren't for sale or would cost 25M+ with a 120K/week salary. Or you pick the one good signing a club makes and with the benefit of hindsight say we should have bought that player.
Walcott has 1 yr left on his contract, this board is full of arsenal fans calling him ****e, mediocre, over rated etc. so where do you get 15 -20m from? As for downing and bentley costing that much...shouldnt that act as a.deterant about splashing out a fortune on over rated under performing legends in their own, minds only dross?
Walcott has shown us a number of flashes of his speed and as we have seen, he can score too. Well, as we have seen from of old that is. Lately he seems to lose his composure everytime the opportunity to score is presented to him and then with arms outstretched he makes out as though something or someone was at fault. Something or someone but not him. Aaron Ramsey has been playing too many games. He is tired and that is down to Arsene planning and buying badly and too late last summer so after our disastrous start, he concentrated on a select squad which credit to them got us back fighting again. However, an over reliance on them now sees us with a team that is worn out. I'm not sure if Walcott is entirely worn out but he has definitely lost his composure in front of goal. Will he ever find his form again? Big question mark, isn't it? Up until early December he was supplying RvP with assists. Now of course his form has dried up. I'm not too sure if selling him now is the solution. It's frustrating watching him waste opportunities but I think I would re-sign him. That way, if nothing else comes of it, then we may have something to sell on. Just a thought.
I knew that's what you were getting at. The way I see it is that with the system we play with three attackers, two of them on the wing, we need a player who can beat players and cause problems, like Gervinho. Walcott on his day can do this but he's far too inconsistent. I do believe, however, that he has enough attributes for another manager to believe that he could get the best out of him so I think he could command a 15-20 million transfer fee.
