The Riverside Derby
Who’s it against?
Oxford & Cambridge?
Twigs v Derby?
Forest and Notts County?
Both their grounds are on either side of the Trent.
We are the nearest game they tave if Sunderland don't get promoted and we are at the side of a river, so could it be Boro v City?
Should that be who's it between?
I’ve no idea, it was a quiz question last night that my lad text me. I’d guessed Forest v County but he’s a student so hasn’t got back to me yet.
I’ve not heard of a derby game referred to as The Riverside Derby, glad it’s not just me.
Someone's made it up for the quiz? Google doesn't seem to have heard of it either. Trick question?
Strange they don't mention the Tyne/Wear derby between two clubs which are nearer, larger and on the side of a river. But also mention Newcastle v Hartlepool.
It’ll have been an autocorrect and/or a pissed son
He’ll have meant
River Plate’s derby. Who’s it against
Not much of a derby. No atmosphere due to there being no roof to give good acoustics.
That sounds plausible, bet you’re right.
The Argies are mad at their football matches, brilliant stuff.
Boca Juniors vs River Plate ?
You beat me to it LSF.
The Riverside is a shopping centre in Derby
It is where you lay your heavy load down by. (Good excuse to play probably the most influential female musician).
