That’s a strange post. And you really think that’s an accurate reflection of present opinion? More likely people can’t be bothered. Just my opinion obviously Ps. That was started last year, so can’t have any relevance as we keep reading it’s all about this season. Unless of course you feel it is actually updated weekly? Certainly not by me - I can’t even remember my vote; probably “splinters”.
I'm still Ralph in but I am veering towards unsure depending on future team selections and performances. Results are important but I want to see progression on the way that we play first. I want to see more exciting and creative, faster football and I don't think that an XI with Diallo, Mo El and Djenepo can produce it.
Why “my opinion”? Just found it weird you were trying to say 74% are still in. Still, if you believe that, then
Maybe someone should create a new poll so we can see what the up-to-date feeling is. The mods will prob merge them and we will be none the wiser!
I’m not a staunch Ralph out. I have said before that I love the bloke and he’s the most engaging manager we’ve had in a long time. I really want him to succeed. But I ask myself; could someone get more out of these players? And I think the answer is yes. My fear is that not buying a striker has really, really hurt us and we are in big danger of going down. We need to start performing
I'm not sure how anyone could have got any more out of our new signings TBH. Or KWP, or JWP. Aribo maybe but he had a couple of knocks since joining so that have impeded his progress. And as for performing, we have performed. It's not like we fluked our wins against Chelsea and Leicester. Like you said, the lack of a new striker coming in has hurt us but that's not Ralph's fault. But since the Leeds game and up until Villa we have played quite well. Some games better than others but in each of those games I have come away happy with our result or thinking we should have got a result.
I think much of the angst may be that last year we were doing well and the Villa game changed it. Some will moan anyway (remember the “oh it will be no different than under Gao” line), and others fear this is the start of a bad run after only 7 games.
