Just had an email from Paul Morrissey, head of comms at club, apologising for the Sheffield United change to Friday night The club are obviously a bit paissed off about it...but cannot do anything about it
Sky have moved our Sheff Utd home game to a Friday. I have a season ticket and due to work commitments, like many, I have struggled this season to get to weekday games. My season ticket has therefore given me less than a dozen home games. I wonder if it’s the same for all other teams. Either way, not good value and why mess with just playing games at 3pm on Saturday?
According to TerryB we had 9 Saturday 3pm ko this season That is seriously bad. The club have absolutely no control over this. When Sky comes...the EFL rules say they obey. We the fans have been sold down the river
By way of some form of masochism, I was looking at the BBC Championship league table. Seeing our five last results with red “L’s” seemed to add to my misery when no other team in the league is anywhere close to hitting that dire level of form. Staggering that just a (long) few weeks ago it was all green “W’s”. I do not think any team has managed such an immediate and marked drop in performance. I should eat humble pie for all the times I thought of Brentford as bottler’s.
I see our anonymous Finnish International Niko Hamalainen is about to sign on loan for Brazilian club Botafogo, he's played 19 games for us in 8 years yet was given a 4 year contract in 2020, another one of those wtf moments...
Almost as strange as that Danish lad Marco Ramkilde......... does anyone know his current whereabouts? His wiki page says he's a centre forward for Queens Park Rangers but I think someone's having a laugh........ He signed an 18 month deal in March 2020 so maybe he's gone already!!!!!!!!!
He's been on loan at more Clubs and Countries than most. Let's hope we are earning more than his cost to us.
From beeb text about tonights game between Burnley and Southampton....... Getty ImagesCopyright: Getty Images please log in to view this image The last time Burnley's first team played a game at Turf Moor without Sean Dyche in charge was 20 October 2012. This was in the aftermath of the departure of Eddie Howe (whatever happened to him?!) and Terry Pashley was caretaker boss for a 1-0 win over Blackpool. The only goal of the game was scored by Charlie Austin (whatever happened to him?!). Dyche would take over as manager shortly after and the rest is history. I imagine it is going to be strange for the Clarets fans not to see a shaven-headed fella in a creaseless white shirt and tie watching on from the home technical area.
Created this kit on PES and I actually think it's really good. Would happily have it for next season in real life. please log in to view this image
