Not sure what you were on about, but we were founded 10 years before you, but I certainly don't claim that we were the first Rangers. We took our name from a touring rugby club at the time. Out of interest, where did you get your name from?

A merger between Christchurch Rangers and St Judes in 1886. They chose Queens Park Rangers as that was the area the teams were from

I started supporting QPR when I was two years old ... 1968, I started my first Panini sticker book in 1974. Willie Johnston was my first Rangers football sticker, so QPR came first.

Ah ok, I have never heard that before. The etymology and origins of names of football clubs always interested me.

    Love this from Facebook.

Can we stop all this negative about beale , critchley was our first choice but would had have to pay £1.5m in the summer, so beale come to us critchley replaces him at Villa beale hangs around long enough for critchley to be available for free rangers even gave us £1.5m to take him off our hands so we now have the man we wanted and we're £3 m better off i take my hat off the board for that great bit off business now lets move on

Thanks Beth. Wasn't up to par with the backstory. I'll thank Beale for the time he was here, but not for the manner in which he left, i.e. the BS about integrity and loyalty in his speech in October of this year.

Do you recall this? An excerpt of Beale's speech about why he rejected the Wolves' offer (from article by Malik Ouzia of the Evening Standard, Nov. 28, 2022).

“Integrity is a real big thing for me, and loyalty,” he said last month. “You don’t give it to receive it back, but if those are the things you live by, then at times when you are put in a position you have to be strong by them.

“I don’t think we are anywhere near where I want QPR to be as a group. I’m enjoying working with them, we’ve got a lot to do, but I’m excited by it.

“There’s going to be some bumps in the road, but I’ve been all in here and I’ve asked other people to be all in, so I can’t be the first person to run away from the ship.”

He was actually correct, he didn't "run away". He casually walked away, then took a plane, train or automobile.
