Sunderland Under-21s battle Reading Under-21s for a place in the Premier League 2 Play-Off finals on Monday evening. The game will be played at the Select Car Leasing Stadium for a 7pm kick-off time. The winner will face either Tottenham Hotspur Under-21s or Chelsea Under-21s in the final. Reading finished the regular Premier League 2 season with ten victories, five draws and five defeats from 20 games. They finished in sixth place in the table, one point and one place above the Lads. During the Royals Play-Off campaign, they have beaten Middlesbrough 2-0 in the round of 16 stage and seen off Nottingham Forest in the quarter-finals winning 3-1. Jayden Wareham and a brace from John Clarke sealed their place in the last four of the competition. Wareham is their top scorer this season with nine goals from 15 appearances. Noel Hunt is currently in charge of the Under-21s who enjoyed a successful playing career spending five seasons in Berkshire. He made 162 appearances for the club, scoring 39 goals. Graeme Murty comes up against the side where he spent 11 years of his career, making over 300 appearances in blue and white. Expected Teams: Sunderland Jones or Lavery to replace Chris Rigg.
