I doubt Argyle fans will begrudge Joe anything he wants to do. He is of an age where whatever he does it will be the last one.
Argyle are keen to hold talks with Michael Cooper over a new contract.....he has a year left on his existing one. It seems Rooney would want to keep him....so maybe it is time to get talking to him.....this would mean any other interested parties would have to show their interest and offer him an alternative deal......best to sort it out now...not near the end of the transfer window.
INCOMING Nathanael Ogbeta...23 yr old left back....released by Swansea......will become an Argyle player at the end of June.
The signing of Nathanael Ogbeta...probable means it clears the way for Mickel Miller to move on.....Portsmouth and PNE have been showing interest.
Brendan Galloway has accepted a 2yr extension ....he's basically saying he loves everything abour being here and was going to sign anyway whoever the new manager was.
He has been absolutely immense since he came back from injury. The (fair) ferocity of his tackling has been a thing to behold. If he can stay in that form, he's very much lined up be to Joe Edwards Mark II.
Well true but I meant he probably saved us from two or three goals conceded with last ditch tackles and blocks in the last 10 matches. That could have made a big difference!
Brendan Galloway has class and is held back by his vulnerability or proneness to injury....maybe that is why we benefit from having him.....bigger clubs are wary of such players. On the otherhand Joe Edwards is more a fighting terrier...who is coming nearer to the end of his career...but able to produce little gems now and again....his last little gem was a real diamond....getting above bigger defenders to score a match winning season saving header. PS.....Did he have a ladder in his back pocket ???
From where I was I was looking diagonally across at it. I've still got the the little mental video clip stored away. He arrived at speed against a stationary defender and went up like a salmon at a weir. He said he knew it was in from the moment he headed it and I can believe that. I just watched Nathanael Ogbeta's "welcome" video. He compares himself in style to Bali Mumba so sparks may fly.
Simon Hallett has said that he has found some more money to give to Wayne Rooney's playing squad coffers.
If the BBC Championship page is comprehensive, with Nathanael Ogbeta, we're the first Championship club to sign a player who's not already on the books. Middlesbrough have signed Luke Ayling but he was already with them on a loan basis.
There is so much stuff about Argyle on the pages of just about everything it is hard to keep up with it all. Last season I read loads of posts from people on pasoti saying they preferred Argyle to remain under the radar and now you can't keep us off the front pages. Rooney out............too much publicity.
Rumour mill at work.... Seems like there is an annoucement imminent......Mark Dempsey 60yr old Man U under 23yr olds leading coach. Wayne Rooney's No 2.
Been reading a snippet ...supposed to be from a Swansea website....that any interest in Morgan Whittaker gets Swansea pricking up their ears. Because it seems that they did well with a selling on clause when he was sold to Argyle....and negotiated a very good selling on figure.
