They haven't actually reverted to it, they've just voted to keep the same badge they had last season, which is an ox-head on it's own (no text), so not a great example considering our circumstances.
They reverted to an early badge for last season, to commemorate their 1986 Milk Cup final win at Wembley, they've just decided to stick with it ongoing, rather than reverting back to the regular one. It's still good that they were given the choice though.
I still think the new badge is okay. If the remainder of the marketing were smarter and not messing with the name, then the badge is strong and will become well known as is. It's problem is that it is in a clusterfuck of a marketing and commercial nightmare. A pity really as it looked really good on that England flag. I would have no problem with retaining it or moving back to the original.
they changed their name in 1960. look out for postal united, about to appear in your peripheral vision under a new name.
Ehab said that a new badge would be designed in consultation with fans. Then they lost the name change decision and prettily removed our name off the new one, with no consultation. Therefore, the Allam's can stick their nameless badge up their arses, the petty bastards!
The badge would be fine with just the tiger's head and no 1 904. That was typical Allam. He claimed City had been known as Hull Tigers since 1904 so in his little mind this backs up his totally bullshit assertion and gets rid of the name City he considers so lousy.
