It would mean the pro Wenger fans have no excuses anymore, lol, a Leciester win literally burns all the BS they have been spouting over the years.
I have a feeling that if Leicester win it this year they'll go down next year. I know I'll get laughed at but I just kinda sense it.
They will have European football next year, so will be very tough for them. But doubt they will get relegated, unless they're dumb enough to sell some of their best players.
I agree with the extra games being a big weight on them next season, could prove very hard for them to keep this seasons level up. I don't see them losing too many players, they have no financial need to sell and, so far, I have seen no indication that players want away. The big problem could be the manager, many "bigger" teams must be looking at what he has done and be thinking he could do the same for them. However, Claudio has been at "big" teams before and looks much happier and more relaxed where he is now. He can obviously spot a player, knows how to set a team up and makes very telling substitutions when needed. Great manager who just wants to do his job without all the limelight that goes with the big name clubs, hope he is sensible enough to stay where he is happy and carries on the good work.
Good post Diego. We know it highly unlikely we will re produce this again next season, but should still be no where near the bottom. If we get into the Champions League our squad will need strengthening in depth to allow for more rotations as currently we are thin. I think we will go back in for Musa and Dragovic and don't think we will lose anyone apart from Mahrez but that is not a definite. As for Ranieri there was rumours this weekend of him being touted for the Italy managers job, but hopefully he will stay on next season which I believe he will do especially if we are in the Champions league. He is a class act.
You would need a deeper squad next season regardless of CL, you have had very few injuries this season (good training, medical staff, luck?) but you may not be in the same situation next season. With the manager and owners you have this should not be a major problem though, all teams face the same thing.
FT. West Brom 1-0 Man Utd. So much for them finishing above us! Mata was stupid for getting sent off so carelessly because it cost them the game. It doesn't get any easier for United. Now they've got back-to-back games against Liverpool away in the Europa, with West Ham in the FA Cup sandwiched in between, followed by the Manchester derby at the end of the month.
Even if it does happen, it would be about time considering the copious amounts of money you have spent. You really should be in a position where you're fighting for the title, yet for the second season in a row, you're tangled in the scrap for fourth place. You can hope, but you're still not finishing ahead of us I'm sure of it.
watching motd, apparently having your leg brushed is now a good excuse to go down in the area and is not considered a dive. Although i suspect that's only because its liverpool, bbc's golden child
... ... but think of the positives ... won't it be refreshing for us to share the burden of English clubs getting smashed in Europe with some of the usual suspects
Yeah true. I guess there's no real expectations either. Going to be crazy to see Leceister vs Real Madrid, Bayern or Barca.
