I know it's only The Sun, but they are linking us with Allegri again today. https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/foot...er-from-under-fire-arsene-wenger-next-season/
Would they though? What if the new manager fails to get 4th or more in the first 2 seasons? Your board would set this as a minimum requirement.
I doubt it. The board have said repeatedly that they have the financial cushion to withstand being out of the CL for a number of seasons.
Spurs are in cracking form winning their 7th successive game in a row. Could the unthinkable happen and Spurs win the league? Chelsea's next is a tough away game against United, who are desperate for a win so they can qualify for the CL. If they lose then the gap goes down to 4... Also, Wishere gets subbed off after 56 minutes, you'd think he would up his game against the enemy. Looks like he continues his stunning form for Bournemouth with a great return of 28 games, 0 goals and 2 assists. Simply magnificent, can't wait for him to return to the Arsenal.
I don't think Tottenham will drop another point this season, Chelsea don't exactly have the toughest run of games after tomorrow but they still have to go to Everton
More like Sturridge is Wenger's love child, surprised we haven't put a bid for him already. He tickets a number of boxes for us, injury prone, soft and mentally weak. He would slot in nicely with our Instagram crew of Walcott etc.
You might not like Maureen's childish outbursts but he's still the real deal and is a master tactician. He's beating Chelsea 2-0 so far and everything he's done is spot on. Spurs now only 4 points away from Chelsea? Will Chelsea bottle it and can the unspeakable happen? Also if the anti Wenger brigade is bad now just imagine if Spurs win the league?
We did a similar job on Chelsea yet funnily enough no-one went on about Poch being a master tactician. Mourinho is a big game manager of that there is no question. What he lacks is the humility to give the "little" teams the respect they deserve in this league, hence the ridiculous number of draws against mid-table opposition. Chelsea's run-in is far, far easier than our own and I still think the title is theirs. Their last 3 games in particular already look like dead rubbers. But if we can somehow take it to the last day of the season, that would be fantastic. A lot will depend on the outcome of the semi final. Whoever wins that will have a psychological edge propelling them through to the end of the season.
Still for Chelsky to lose. If Spurs do it, it will be immense purely because of the fixture list for the final 6 games.
The only games I can see Chelsea dropping points are against Southampton and Everton. If they win those games, the league is theirs. I can see Tottenham winning their final games, especially against us. We're complete dog ****.
Poch is the real deal too and has made Spurs a hard team to beat. I guess I'm mentioning Maureen because he had a bad ending with Chelsea and start with Man U but managed to turn it around against the favourites today. Yes it's still Chelsea's to lose but who knows, they might drop some more points. You can never tell with the PL nowadays, it's unpredictable.
It's actually so sad that, at the age of 21, I could potentially end up having a clearer memory of Spurs winning the league than Arsenal... Never in my lifetime did I think I'd be uttering those words
It's hard to deny how good Poch has got them playing. They no longer have that "implode any minute" mentality anymore this season. They genuinely look like solid title contenders and if they retain the same manager, players and structure next season, then they would be one of my favourites, grudgingly.
Yep, they've found a gem in Poch. He's made them into a very competitive side with some very astute signings and has done so without fully breaking the bank for any one player. He's improved the players' fitness levels, their tactical awareness and their style of play. Goes to show what a different manager can do if you give them a chance, ey...
