England hick off their Europa 2020 qualifying campaign tonight against the Czech Republic. Something tells me this campaign will be a bit meh compared to the new and more interesting Nations League. These two fixtures will provide a decent warm up thiough prior to the semis in the Summer. Reckon we'll struggle a bit tonight but ultimately come away with a 3-1 win
There's plenty of chicken shops and a Primark as you come out of the station. Fair bit of building work going on. Not the most interesting road, to be honest.
We all started posting in the other thread Libby (including you) sorry mate. FWIW I think we're going to win it now.
Bloody hell, looking at that group what's the point of some of these teams. Why not have a pre-qualifying round for countries like Kosovo, Montenegro, Wales, Scotland.
Pep Guardiola managed Barca when Spain absolutely dominated world football. He managed Bayern as Germany cruised to World Cup glory. ...
I’m wondering if his brand of football influences more than just his club. I don’t like City one bit for what they are, but I’m not going to pretend money is the only reason for his success.
He definitely influenced the players for Spain at the time. It was basically Barca + Ramos & Casillas. Not sure about Germany though, that group of players came up from the youth and it had been 8-10 years in the making.
Away to Montenegro tonight, which may be a bit tougher than it looks on paper, probably see a few changes as I well I'd expect. Draw wouldn't be a bad result.
We could lose every game from now on and probably still finish top of the group. Just for once, I'd like our qualifying group to have at least one other top team and another which is recognised as having some pedigree. E.g. Holland and Belgium for example.
