At least we've now got a game in hand on the three below us rather than the other way around as it was a couple of weeks ago. Having said that, I'd rather have had the 3 points today.
Nice to see BBC have decided to give us all 3 points in their updated table.... We should get them anyway.... Result would never have been in doubt.
Rotherham being referred to the EFL over the circumstances of the abandonment. Not sure what sanctions can be brought against them, but if lack of cohesive effort to get the game back on is an option, they could suffer some sort of penalty.
Just relegate them, give us the fully deserved 3 points and be done!!! Only 2 places to contend with then.
Brizzle, this means you will need to do another Matchday Thread. Sue them for your time and effort!!!
No, the EFL took pity on us cos fugging Wasps were in control of the stadium. we have a suspended 5 points over us if we default again this season tho
What’s so agonising is we were well in control, should have been at least 2 up but Sod’s law, we’ll be turned over when they replay it.
Could give them an ultimatum.... Pay me £50k as compensation (reckon with the recent pay rises being demanded my time is worth about that)... Or.. Just give the City the 3 points. I'd be happy either way.
Definite shades of snowgate going on.... From looking at the BBC HYS comments, by Millers fans own admission they had sprinklers on at half time too, despite the teeming rain... Smacks of underhanded actions.
I find it so difficult to think that a club would seriously try to get a game abandoned in such a way. However, if it is the case, it's a really sad indictment of football now. Also, where was the ref when all the "clearing" was going on? Surely he should have some oversight responsibility. Hope there's an enquiry into it all.
Nightmare! Players went off at 4.10 but nobody came to tend the pitch till 4.30! Then it was only two guys with feckin squeegees. It was pathetic, they didn’t call it off till 5pm. Pity, as we were playing well.
