Absolutely love this bit from the minutes: “football philosophy is to be developed across all age groups, including the first team and Sunderland Ladies” and that “there will be a Sunderland way of teaching the game to all ages.”
The SUNDERLAND WAY will be the philosophy throughout the whole club. Including the fans. If ever any doubters needed to be inspired then just read those minutes. It is possible we will get record season tickets for a championship club. Especially with the fundraiser getting towards that 200K figure. if you fell asleep in despair and dreamt a dream of things you would like to happen you couldn't have dreamt this one up. KLD is not a brainless kid with a pot of gold. He is a very mature class act and every little thing or big thing he has done for us already is done with a touch of class. There is no doubt in my mind we will be playing championship footy next season. We are on a swiss roll so lets enjoy the ride.
36 matches gone 10 to go and looking good can’t ask for anymore than that but if we could beat Oxford 4 or 5 nil I honestly believe even I would sleep better.
Good post mate, sums it all up. KLD has quietly and calmly done something that none of the previous owners managed in decades ... ... it's only now you can truly see how badly run we've been.
Absolutely all of this, sums up my feelings precisely. Regardless of what happens this season the club is something we can get behind and enjoy the ride
As a young man KLD has approached the task if rejuvenating SAFC with a maturity beyond his years, he has garners praise from his peers and envious glances from his competitors. I believe he has full support of the Sunderland faithful and knows that the kind of faith we have in him can come at a cost. He has said a few times already that he is a custodian of a rich history and he takes that responsibility very seriously. Wise words fro. A buisnessman who seems to genuinely appreciate the task at hand. I for one am ready for the ride and believe with some modern attitudes and the right people that the near future could be a very good time for our illustrious club.
Whilst I fully endorse the new ownership and the visions, each game seems to make the return onto hallowed ground longer, fcuking sick of all this virus malarkey now, not in a good place at the moment TBH. Vive le return.
I laughed about people claiming anxiety, stress, whatever because they can't go to the pub or the match and having to distance ... ... after a year I've realised it's best not to interact with people as I've become short tempered and a bit touchy. Never thought it would happen to me tbh.
I've been fine with it up until a couple of weeks ago, I've turned into a reet grumpy cnut the past week or so, might go back on the dragon soop for a rewind.
I’m actually suprised it took so long given the abuse you were getting on here Bonny lad. Guess your broad shoulders had finally had enough.
