If Donald says he wants out, and can't pay the loan back, FPP become owners whether they're ready or not.
You've got a good point there. Leaves all of the financial risk of running the club through these difficult times to SD. Let SD hang himself financially and then take over for a fraction of the original price.
Yes - which at that point I assume would mean Donald essentially gives them the club for nothing. My point was that until he's willing to do that, I can't see them agreeing to buy it, unless it's at a value so low that they're willing to fund it through this period as its offset against how much they value it at. To be clear, not saying anybody in here has said they will.
If you look at it like this, the club/SD are looking at losses of £250k per match, Donald does not have the wealth to sustain that impact, if sartoris FIL is involved and has a worth of £9bn and lets say he’s getting 1% interest that’s £7.5m per month less tax alone, £37m is absolutely nothing to someone or investors who have 9000 millions, they have him by the nuts
Covid has been talked about in the price and talked about fans not returning at all this season, the will have all the prices listed out for all the possible outcomes for the season, it was 1 of the last hurdles to sort out, which I believe has been sorted
You're right and I don't disagree, although surely Sartori's FIL's £9bn isn't all sitting as liquid cash, it will be in assets, so he won't be getting interest on all of it. But that's by the by. They definitely have him by the nuts and they definitely could afford to fund the losses and pay what he wants, my point was that they don't have to. It makes zero sense for them to do so as they get no gain for doing so and only a loss. May as well wait.
It has to be a long term investment it wont matter if it’s today or next month it’s what our club can become and the riches of the future, Donald will rue the day he sold maja and didn’t sack Ross for the rest of his life, he missed the quick flip to make a few quid. Big guy always swallows up little guy it’s a business fact
Exactly - they will definitely swallow him up and it doesn't matter if its today or next month or in 6 months. That's my point - they know they will definitely get the club, and they know it's currently hemorrhaging cash. I'm merely saying I don't see why they wouldn't wait until the last possible moment to take ownership of that hemorrhage
I agree if you include the bit after the bit you've bolded on my quote. It will have to be at a price they're willing to fund the losses over the next few months. But that's common sense.
There'll always be some reason people believe they won't buy whether its the US Presidential elections, exchange rate, Brexit, Corona or the position of Venus in conjunction with the Moon ... ... but there's always a way to get a deal done.
Because on the flip side this second wave could be short lived and fans return and we have a great day on Boxing Day and are top of the league and are featuring on sky etc
