This is the question being asked almost everywhere at the moment. Don't worry Lyndie I don't expect you to join in this one.

After Saturday and the comments made by Derek Adams after the match criticising the "yobs" who dared to shout at him the proverbial has hit the fan with many many people who were formerly on his side reversing their thoughts and now wanting Adams out. I have to say I have been critical of him for having a go at the fans over recent weeks and for me that is a step too far. I say he should go irrespective of whatever has been achieved previously. I seriously do not believe we will survive this season in league one and it will be a travesty to have to go back to league 2 and start again.

It will cost too much to sack him is the argument against even though a number don't really want him to stay. He won't walk away from a contract with years to run on it so of course the thinking goes that we would have to pay up the huge lump sum. I would argue that he should be put on gardening leave if he won't quietly for a cut price. That way he can stew in his own juices and only get paid his salary as it's due without a huge instant pay out. Maybe he would get fed up sitting at home and not being able to work anywhere else and do the honourable thing and walk.

So what's the concensus on here then? Do he go or do he stay...................

Keep Adams....but get some better coaching staff to kick this lot into shape....then in January get a central defender or two with quality and speed....and also a proper goal scorer.....we haven't had one since my mate BWP left during administration.

So are you saying that Adams is blameless then and it really is down to everyone else? I agree the coaching isn't obviously working but who instructs the coaches on how or what to coach? What about stuborn tactics and substitutions?

When he was given the contract all was going well.
Things don't always stay the same so now we want him out.
Well that goes for many team sports Ice Hockey for sure.
So i would have him stay and get it sorted.

The upheaval and cost of paying him off must be taken into account....and who would we entice down here at the moment....to basically a building site.

Of course we could get somebody else. Argyle are not different from every other club and there is somebody out there who would want to come. Indeed I have no doubt there would be a list of candidates like any other football job. As for cost well like I said pay him weekly and keep him in his garden if he won't take a deal.

My fear is that he is not capable of sorting this out this time. Perhaps he was lucky last season and it happened for him but this time it feels so different. He seems to be losing the dressing room and he is certainly losing the crowd. No, I will say he has lost the crowd and he is a million miles from getting that back. He shows no sign of changing anything and the current status quo is not working.

I have no sympathy with the mob. There are some unsavoury characters in the crowd who are soul mates with Tommy Robinson and the louts that now line the tunnel to hurl abuse are little better than animals. You just have to see their faces. If that's who we are using to say Adams has lost the crowd then we'd be better off without them and keep Adams who has every right to complain about them. It's the same with the lot insisting on standing in the Lyndhurst. Why do they want to be down there rather than in the Devonport End? I suspect because they want to be nearer to the away fans in the hope of a punch up.

Leaving that aside, we are clearly in trouble. I understand what Plymborn is saying. Surely it can't be the case that out of all the players we've tried in the back line can't defend at all. Defending is about organisation and teamwork and I have to wonder if the coaching or tactics being used are at the root of it. That extends into the midfield too. None of you commented on those links to Argyle Life I posted so I assume you didn't read them. The argument there is that the midfield three without Ness and Sarcevic have been playing too deep, simultaneously stopping Fox passing the ball forward and allowing runners to get at the CB's at the other end.

He also says by the way that statistically and individually the "heavy" CB's are performing as well as or better than Vyner did last season in open play. The problem as he sees it is that they are being run at through the midfield too many times, this causes them to come together to cover each other, which is the correct response, but leaves gaps elsewhere. These aren't being filled from midfield and too many shots are being taken unopposed. The problem with set pieces is got to be down to organisation and perhaps a keeper that doesn't look too secure dealing with crosses. The only CB he's very critical of is Wotton, who apparently misses to many headers on long ball attacks.

I'm very dispirited with what's going on and I expected better. Am I ready to say Sack Adams? No, not quite. I saw one comment to say that Adams' success was actually down to John Sheridan. Given that those arguing for Adams to go are probably the same ones who abused Sheridan when he was the manager, that's laughable.

I do not condone abuse being shouted at anyone although in fits of passion I can see why some might. To brand them National Front type thugs though is a bit strong isn't it. I've never seen anyone throw a bit of abuse yet with a nice look and smile on their face. It is also a bit strong to brand "The Devonport End" as somehow thuggish where these louts from the other end would want to join them. Passion about something cared about is a bit more than having a tut or two and there are many who don't scream and shout having doubts about Adams leadership.

I frankly don't care what the problem is on the field. No doubt some professional in the game would tell me that I know nothing about the hows and whys of playing or tactics. Watching it for most of a lifetime doesn't count. What I do care about is who should be holding a hand up and at the least admitting they are responsible for what is happening. Adams seems incapable of admitting anything unless it is him being the hero of the hour. I don't like that trait in a person. Take responsibility for what you are supposed to be in charge of and at the least sort it out or try. If something doesn't work or goes wrong the last thing you do is continue to repeat it over and over again. That's just basic common sense and applies to everything in life. No expert knowledge required. If he thinks defence make mistakes then take charge of training them and keep practicing until they get whatever message they need to know. If the coach of those players isn't doing his job properly then get rid and find another one who can. Just because it's football doesn't make anything rocket science. I see no evidence of Adams doiing any of that.

The fact that he is getting stick at the minute is quite frankly understandable. He isn't doing his job properly and the fare on offer is simply poor. Anyone would give a bit of stick to any organisation they are paying to keep going in those circumstances. If he is so sensitive then he is in the wrong job "at this minute in time" as he likes to say. You simply cannot blame the paying customer for your own failings. I think the man has turned into a whiner rather than a winner.

What would the yobs or what ever they are do if he turns it around? I dont think he will walk or get sacked? he has got us out once so surely capable of it again, even tho its a worse situation reading the comments after games, as i cant get to many given my circumstances with my lad. But i have a lot friends who go..

So hope fully a nice win tomorrow and get this run going as we are only a few points adrift at present

    Keep the faith

I see what's posted on Twitter Sensible. Individuals there post on PAFC topics and other stuff and I assure you there are some very unpleasant thugs lurking out there.

There's no saying whether the ones shouting abuse at the tunnel are the same people but be in no doubt there is real pond life out there.

I see the club have released a statement overnight and I hope we'll see some banning orders if not prosecutions.

Not like the old days as managers just took it but thinking it's going a bit far for banning or prosecuting for verbal abuse in sports. Should be expected. We're all silently cursing DA but he's had no cash to spend and Paul Wotton should be coaching our defenders better perhaps?

Why do animals always get a bad press?

Simple tonight. Better performance and no shouting at anyone. Adams had a budget which was reasonable enough and spent it badly. Lets not deflect from the fact he brought in those 11 new players. Remember the "I have identified targets" statement. You can only assume that the players he got were mainly his tartgets. He signed a lot of them early enough. He is also the Manager responsible for the coaching. If Wotton isn't doing his job properly then get rid. No sentiment in football and you are only as good as your current job and how well you do it. Adams should grow a pair. He got sent off for gobbing off at the opposition earlier this season. You cannot tell me that Chris Powell is the sort of bloke to react the way he did without something dreadful being said. If you can dish out the X rated banter then expect to receive it is my view.
