Must admit, I thought he'd died years ago.

Anyway. Loved Saint & Greavsie, they had a brilliant dynamic and it had the right blend of football insight, humour and relaxed chat show format.

I'm sure I saw Greaves not long ago in a wheelchair in some article on TV, he didn't look too good at all, I think he might have had a stroke.

 

Think I read he had dementia too? Poor old sod.

 

@Sucky has never heard of him.

Stood with him once, on the touchline watching an amateur game, when I was a kid.

My reporter mate covers the National every year and he took me a few times. On one occasion we were in the press area and Saint was there. Was one of my ido;s as a lad so I went over and said hello. He invited me to sit down and we had a quick beer together. Lovely bloke with no edge at all. I also met Peter O'Sullivan. Delightful bloke
