Serdar Tasci reported to be having a medical today ahead of a loan move. Reports on here that he's made of glass and a bit rubbish, but we had that with Pelle and he turned out okay, plus he's a German international (or was, at least) so he can't be as bad as all that...
Tasci had a big injury which made him slow as hell. He was average before the injury. I watched him at Stuttgart and Bayern. He is a very slow to react kind of player. He only has played 8 games for Spartak Moscow as well. I see him as a stop gap until the summer.
I hope he proves me wrong! But better to tell Saints fans he is average then them hope he is amazing. Ha
Not instantly, I have seen him play around 15-20 games. So nothing instant about that, he was average to poor then as well.
We are apparently closing in on deals for a slow, dull witted CB, a keeper who can't catch, and a goal shy striker... An improvement on a week ago though, when we were expected to bring in no one at all.
People that have watched Gabbiadini would know he needs to have a run of games. That is his biggest problem, he has 99% of the time been back up to a very good Napoli attack. I haven't a clue about the keeper, so won't comment. Tasci will be okish as back up.
I remember the apathy on here about Ryan Bertrand signing as well, i'll reserve judgement until i've seen him play for Saints.
Soon as he pulls on a Saints shirt I will wipe the slate clean and give him a chance again. But I can only say what I have seen.
Well you never know, sometimes a good bit of proper training, a totally new start and workplace and belief of a management team and a player can change, not overnight, but I think the history of football shows this - others seem to be not up to much where ever they play - so it's all up in the air. Maybe one will be a revelation, one average and one not to our standard....
Just read on Wiki that he was loaned to Bayern Munich last season, he can't be completely crap can he?
