Mary Wilson of The Supremes has died at the age of 76, which is truly heartbreaking. She was an immense talent and one of the most gifted of all the Motown stars. Often overshadowed by Diana Ross in the press, it was the voice of Mary Wilson that made the greatest of all the Supremes hit songs, Stoned Love ..... I feel blessed to have lived through the time when there was such an avalanche of fantastic music from so many great musicians. We will never see their like again but I am so grateful for the magical songs people like Mary Wilson created. Life is so much richer with their music. God bless you Mary.
Amen to that Kaito... This never fails to lift my spirits along with so many other great Motown songs... R.I.P. Mary...
Don't say I don't do anything for you. We've just gone live on this but aren't sharing it publicly for a little bit. But seeing as it's you guys. There's a lot to get your teeth into with this video. We're super proud of it. Go watch, enjoy, share the hell out of it!
Well that video won't get boring after a couple of views!...so much going on and very thought provoking and it looks great. Will share with work mates, friends and family...I'll post in on a few of the music forums here as well.
Thats awesome!! Very impressive and I like the song more and more every time I listen to it!! Great job!! Will share as widely as I can!
Love that Laces. Very clever video. I reckon my lad would like that too.... if I tell him I don’t first. Will get him to circulate that among his mates
My daughter’s comment .... “great song, a bit chilled like Massive Attack or Portishead. The avatar is a bit skinny though .....”
Hahaha, yes, we'll take the Massive Attack/Portishead comparisons all day long. Re the avatar - Holly herself is TINY (she's a size 4), so I'm afraid it's just a pretty accurate representation.
Thats what I told Emily - I also didn’t tell her that I really liked it until after she’d said that!!
Been in these Scottish lads "fanclub" for 30 years and they rarely disappoint live or on record. These are from their upcoming album, Endless Arcade...
Another of the giants gone. Practically every jazz fusion track from the late ‘60s onwards seems to have either involved Chick or been inspired by his work. RIP Chick
Love it and get the comparisons to Massive Attack and Portishead having seen them both...will buy it when available and share it
