http://www.hampshirechronicle.co.uk...e_in_Southampton_Senior_Cup___away_to_Saints/ Saints draw QK Southampton in the Southampton Senior Cup after their recent 6-0 win in the competition against BTC Southampton. Teams rather lack imagination in their names
Good to see Davis and Lambert are still friends. I hope davis is convincing him to become our striking coach
As someone once said, many strikers are great scorers of goals, but Matt Le Tissier is a scorer of great goals.
Come on, show the other one in that match, Saints. Equally good, just a different skill. No commentator or pundit ever wondered whether MLT meant to do something. They didn't need convincing. He had far too much previous. More than anyone else.
Absolutely. Even better than that of our highest scorer Mick Channon. Mick scored his 185 goals for us at a rate of one every 2.757 games, whereas Marty just pipped that with 161 at a rate of one every 2.752 games.
http://sportwitness.co.uk/agent-reveals-southampton-turned-three-clubs-keep-weekend-hero-club/ Sofiane Boufal's agent says that Saints turned down 3 clubs in the summer asking after his client. He denied that Sofiane regrets the decision to join Southampton....says he has to convince the manager to play him.
Good point! A goal every 1.95 games, so better than both our highest scorers, although to be fair, Matty’s were all in the top flight, as we’re most of Mick’s, whereas Rickie had most of his for us in the lower leagues.
Actually, I've remembered the line. The 'someone' said, many strikers are either great scorers of goals or scorers of great goals. Matty happened to be able to do both. And he was a midfielder too.
