8 years ago today we beat Sunderland 8-0 What a team we had! Scoring 8,6,4 goals against teams in the PL, a rock solid midfield and defence regularly keeping clean sheets, and only narrowly missing out on Champions League football. Seems a world away!
Not that I think this is likely, but would anyone want him back? Not exactly playing well and it didn't end overly well either. That said, he isn't exactly old and if it was just a loan move I think it would be worth it - providing his relationship with staff/fans isn't beyond repair
Absolutely. I think the hate he gets is wholly unjustified and he'd be a huge improvement on what we have.
A loan until the end of the season would make sense (for us) assuming it's going to be difficult to get our preferred longer term targets. I don't see it happening but would be happy to have Ings back even given his struggles at Villa and injury record as I'm not sure we could get better in during the January window.
Unfortunately I can’t think of any logical reason Villa would loan him to us unless they go big on a striker in January
It's over 2 months until our first post WC game. It would be a very bad hamstring injury to keep him out past then.
I’ve seen a quote from Ralph mentioning bleeding which means a hamstring tear. Worst case scenario there is (I think) 3 months :-(
When might Tino be back? Not sure who's likely to play there in the mean time.... can Larios play RB?
For Sunday, I'd go 3-5-2 TBH. Lyanco joins Salisu and DCC, Prowsie at RWB. A midfield trio of Aribo, Stu and Diallo.
