City played well and are better than us. We didn't play well so we lost.

That's fine. Fair result. Onwards.

Vic was very very good 1st half. Okay second. To make a judgement on him having only watched a single half likely leaves you open to a bit of criticism.

 

We lost to Man City. Not a disaster. 3-0 was a bit harsh but they certainly deserved to win. It just showed how important Morgan is to us.

 

Sometimes you just face someone who is better than you. City are better than Saints. Fair enough.

Was disappointed by our display, but it happens. On to Arsenal.

Don't think individuals can be blamed. Too many had an off day, and that would mean that we got it wrong tactically. So if anyone really wants to play the blame game, then blame Koeman. But, as he is new to the Prem and we are a new team, whatevs, init.

 

We have sagged a bit over the last few games, but got away with it until today. The team have still done magnificently to get us where we are. It's how we react to this that will be show how good we are. I don't expect a meltdown, because how shocked can anyone be to be 3rd after 13 games. I think I will give SaintsWeb a miss though

 

Not too bothered about losing to the champions as they were the better team second half.

Not too happy with sky sports referring to us as the "pretenders" though

 

Losing to Man City is fine. Collapsing against 10 men in the last 15 minutes was pretty poor though.

 

No Strength in depth is going to bite us in the ass.

 

HE should have already learnt that Mane is not good enough and Tadic is better on the left. I didn't rate Long at all before he came here and was shocked we bought him. I don't rate him much more now than then but he is way way better than Mane.

As for Yoshida coming on.......against the Champs.........WTF? Was he the only CB available?

In that first half Pelle pissed me off non stop playing flicks when the simple pass was on. They look good when they come off but often there is just no need.

Well pissed off with that game because we didn't get started and even when we got in to the game a bit we didn't look that dangerous. City have won 3-0 without even getting into 2nd gear. Koeman needs to sort something out because we will get embarrassed this week by 2 more teams that could still play poorly yet beat us heavily.

Aaaarrrgh @ chance wasted.

 

Not sure you can blame Koeman either really. Was just an off day and we got beaten by a better team playing with confidence.

Thought Wanyama was our best player in the first half, was poor in the second. As was the vast majority of the team. Alderweireld looked ok in CM I thought. The two wing backs were sluggish from the start. City are champions though and showed it today. Heads up though,at the very worst we're third until Monday with two of the most difficult games played.we'll beat them and reopen the gap!

 

Could have done with Cork today. Anyone know why he wasn't available?
