Do not shoot the messenger time... I actually got two tips today from two different sources but the slow old plodder at Newbury is a non-runner (some tip, eh?). You have all day to decide about the other: my mate was told to back it next time after its last race and it was taken out of a Southwell race last week. Wolverhampton 8:20 – Crownthorpe: last won a ladies’ race at Carlisle in August, racing off 1lb lower today. I have looked at this race and first thing to note is that it is the Timeform selection in the SportingLife.com race comments. What it actually needs is a truly run race, and therein lies the problem. There only appear to be two or three options for pace in the race: Golden Sands won the last time he ran here but has changed yards, Kaif has only had three races (a Redcar maiden win the best) and current favourite Covert Mission having his first run here. Most of the field are hold-up horses, including the tip. Looking on OddsChecker, I note that Brains is being gambled in this race.
Newbury 3.05 - Busselton 8/1. No five year old has ever won this race but young Joseph's runner won the ultra competative Kerry National lto and should go close.
The first at Doncaster Blame the game 9/4 looks a fair price Gordon is it good form and Caoilin should be able to up the Chase stats
Unplanned day on the sofa rather than the roads for me. Good luck if you play today. If anyone has a four leaf clover, or a rabbits foot, please send it to the Cotswolds for me.
In the Coral Gold Cup Handicap Chase at Newbury (15:05,) fancy Threeunderthrufive to run well. Will be ridden by the experienced NH jockey, Adrian Heskin, for the Paul Nichols Yard. 10/1 is the general best price at time of writing. E/W best option. Rev.forecast with Busselton.
