It is all about McFabulous for me tomorrow, with 11/8 and 13/8 taken. I was so impressed by him in that stayers race, but it was clear that he didn't see the race out, and this intermediate trip is perfect. He has nothing of the class of Thyme Hill and Paisley Park to beat here and I think he is a proper horse.

In the Conti chase I have to be against Imperial Aura at the prices. He is a talented horse, potentially the best in this race, but the price is all wrong. I think he is up against two rivals here that are very interesting at the prices in Master Tommytucker (who I thought ran a brilliant race at Cheltenham despite hitting a few) and Riders Onthestorm who last season looked a horse going places. Given the jolly is 4/5, I am happy to have those two against him at 4s and 5s.

Interestingly the official handicap has IA just 3lb clear of Riders and 8lbs clear of Master (giving him 6lbs). It looks much tighter than the market suggests.

There’s a handful of races I have never picked the winner of, and the Welsh National is one of them. It’s a list that also includes all handicaps at Royal Ascot, but this is harder.

I have a feeling the Venetia Williams trained Cloudy Glen will surprise a few people; although it wouldn’t actually surprise me if he finished 40 lengths behind the winner. So not a confident bet then. Did me a favour at Fontwell though, so wtf?

    Wash your mouth out ;)

I can't bring myself to watch football without the crowds - it bores me to death - but apparently we have been absolutely pathetic recently, no idea how we have won our last two. It sounds like the average pub team would give us a run for our money at the moment.

Morning all..brilliant that all 3 itv televised meets are on. Bets for today:

Kempton 1.45pm Coo star sivola 13/2 each way 4 places
Is now 5lbs lower than when winning the Ultima at the festival and I thought he travelled with plenty of zest over the Aintree fences. Richard Johnson booked so a big run is expected.
Chepstow 3.10pm The two amigos 11/1 each way 6 places
Ran a great race in this last season and chances are he will handle the gluey tacky ground which so many won't.
Kempton 3.30pm Misty Whisky 12/1 each way 5 places
Harry Fry is on form and this one seeks in at the bottom with jockey taking off another handy 3lbs. She has done well since her wind op and will do for me.

    Good luck all!:emoticon-0167-beer:

Not the same at all but although it can be boring at least it's better than watching all the other ****e on TV. Mind you Oddy, when I put my post up I didn't realise the Owls will have a youthful team out today because of an outbreak in your camp but still they don't have a particularly good record down here.

Onto the horses I reckon Paul Nicholls will have about 8 winners or so today so will have to try and pick which ones they are and a few others I fancy are:

    3.57 Kem BREFFNIBOY
    15.50 Chep EXPLOITEUR
    2.35 Win EVANDER
    11.30 Ling SUBLIMINAL
