Morning Folks, Would just like to start by thanking everyone for their kind posts, letters, postcards and choccies. (NB, Elland does not like dark chocolate). Previously I had spent 72 hours with no sleep, as a result of a chest infection. 5 doctors later, and 2 emergency visits to casualty I had developed panic attacks, and was diagnosed with something called pseudo fainting please log in to view this image Brum v Leeds Utd did something that all these medical doctors couldn't!!! Anyway, what did we all think of yesterday's performance? Were we worth our three goals? Should Brum have scored more? Has Rob Green come good this season? Does he deserve another contract? Does he deserve to be our of our highest paid players?
Scored first against the run of play but over all I think Leeds earned the win. From now on in results are more important than performance. we must aim to remain unbeaten for the rest of the season. Automatic promotion is not beyond them.
Morning Ell, Duke - Wood is turning onto the striker I was hoping for but didn't think he was, the way he worked the defence for the first goal and the instinctive finish. Superb.
Morning Davy, must admit, Wood has pleasantly surprised me. At the beginning of the season, I was calling for his head, he looked lazy and disinterested.
Wood is no a 15m, 30k a week striker, superb but will hardly stay with us another season unless were promoted. However that is looking increasingly likely. Green has done as much in last two games to earn us the points, including Wood and definitely worth a contract extension. Team spirit is difficult to beat and we have it in abundance. Derby Villa and Norwich cant reproduce it and neither can the big time charlies Liverpool and Arsenal. Monk and his staff know something a hell of a lot of managers dont
Morning Ell. Glad to hear your back on your feet. Green has come good of late from the games I've seen. Not sure he would be good enough if we go up. Think Wood should be our top earner. Off topic, nothing demonstrates how mad football has become than this. My local team Billericay Town (my son plays for their U15 side) have signed Paul Konchesky and are paying him 10K a week, a bloody Ryman league side!!
Sense of proportion. Pseude Fainting or what ****ing hell you dont half go on. Pseudo fainting... Not even real fainting. In other news millwall are ****ed. Sccored their one goal and will only win if they get a dodgy pen again..
Cant see it going beyond three rounds before Haye knocks him out. But the fight should have been pulled for all the idiocy between the two of them. Its not boxing.
