Spare a thought for Targett, and the longstaffs who will resemble this the first time they go down injured
Ha ha. We literally might be playing at the hottest place this weekend. I think we will win. Actually spare a thought for Dan Burn. He’s closer to the sun. Fraser will still be cold.[/QUOTE]
I am...actually looking forward to Newcastle playing football this weekend. Not some vague sense that perhaps we might be lucky this weekend and it won't be the usual crushing disappointment. Like, actual pleasurable anticipation. Don't remember this feeling since Shearer retired.
As a team they are a stronger unit than we are and are rightly favourites. I'd probably have Gross, Welbeck, Trossard, Sanchez and Dunk in. It could easily go either way but my prediction is 1-1.
Brighton defender Adam Webster says Newcastle will provide a "tough test" when Albion face the Magpies this weekend. "Since Howe took over he's done a great job," Webster told BBC Radio Sussex. "They look a real force now, a real tough team to play against. Makes a big difference to the time Grealish shouted out "These lot are ****" under Steve Bruce doesn't it.
We may as well be a completely different club who were kicked out of the ground for the last 10 years
I get Pardew was a bit of a "nutter" but he did lead us to 2 of our 3 top half finishes since 05/06 and only European adventure.
Understandable - while we've (IMO) had much worse than Pardew he is a difficult man to like but as a manager he did well for the club.
No, we were perfectly safe with him almost every season. Only "bad" season we had with Pardew was the one we finished the Europa League Quarter final
