Earlier today I saw Sean Derry, Ali Faurlin and Clint Hill in Tamps Coffee Bar in Devonshire Road, Chiswick. (Ali often hangs out there). A couple of hours later they were joined by Joey Barton (wearing the type of cap that Lenin and Liverpool beat poets used to wear) and a rich looking Asian businessman (Malaysian?). I wonder if Sean Derry is being given a coaching or scouting job with us now that he is unemployed. That could be a good move given his work ethic and his knowledge of lower league players.
At least that crew got stuck in, and got on with the job. Really not sure what Kevin Bond does in our grand scheme of things - I would bring in Shaun Derry on a small retainer for inspiration and tap in on his limited managerial experience - hopefully that charlatan Steve Black, spouting all his BS, has been shown the door?
Ron Phillips Football Programme editor icon; all those squares with the little black football figures dotted about randomly. The bush telegraph, a proper letters page and brilliant black and white photographs by John Bough. God I used to love the home programmes ; nowadays they are crap and aimed at people with an attention span of 15-20 seconds.
