I know it´s never over till it´s over But that was a kick in the teeth, And dream of top six, if you like But we´re destined to stay underneath To capitulate quite so willingly In any game beggars belief, But to do so on a day this important Is embarrassing for players and chief It proves what many have been thinking And some saying, for quite a while, Without backbone and guts and some work-rate You can stick your finesse and your style And how any fan can consider Contemplating Premier League with this lot, Is so far beyond my comprehension To want to get there, only to get shot Far better to plan for next season One more on this next highest tier, Oust the oldies and in with the youngsters It can´t give us any worse a year.
Yes RBF - if AN needed ANY more proof that the likes of Martin, Tettey, Hoolahan, Bassong and Whittaker are past it, then this was it. Far better to let the young guns 'find their feet' and they can't have fine any worse than those on the pitch today!!
Evening gents, and however much the clamouring begins for Neil to get the push, he is only ever as good as his players, and they´ve proved time and time again that they´re just not up to it, especially when it really matters. It´s easy to beat Brentford at home, when we´re quickly 2 - 0 up, but when we´re quickly 2 - 0 down at Sheff W, they are sadly lacking. Amazing, when you realise, just how experienced most of our players are, and the fact that most of them have played together for many seasons now.
Yes RBF, but those players are coached and prepared by AN, and there just does not appear to be any cohesion in their display.
Agreed, and I´m sure he takes the responsibility, BUT the players have equal, if not more responsibility, once they cross that line.
Which according to the CJ quotes in his interview with Chris Goreham on Radio Norfolk 'n Good, they're not doing!!!! I'd love to see the likes of Martin, Hoolahan and Naismith not even being on the bench for our next 3 games at least!!!! <donstinhatemoticon>
..and in fact GE, if what Jerome said after the game yesterday is actually true, or has even a semblance of truth about it, the problem, and solution, lies entirely with the players. It´s about time they started to respect the manager, the coaching staff, each other, and perhaps most importantly of all, the opposition they meet each week. No doubt the ´Neil Out´ers will see this as a classic case of the manager losing the dressing room, and so it could be, but while the Board have faith in him and refuse to sack him, and while he himself refuses to resign, the only ones who can put this situation right, are the players themselves. So far, they have either refused to do so, or , what I think is nearer the truth, have been incapable of doing so, they just aren´t any better than what we are seeing. All this nonsense about us walking away with this league, really is coming back to bite us. The only ones who will walk away with this league, are those who respond to the unique challenges that this league throws up. It has nothing to do with where they have played before, or how much they earn a week. Our players wake up and respond about once every four weeks - not good enough.
It wouldn´t worry me JM, if he changed the whole lot out - well, all apart from Dijks, we haven´t got another one of those.
