I disagree - I think he will be a big miss for them. They have other good players, but he pulls the strings in attack, and the other players benefit from the fact that defenders and opposition midfielders are drawn to him cos they know if they leave him alone he will punish them. That creates space and uncertainty which makes players like Sterling and Nolito look good.
It will be a test for both teams if aguero is banned. If City win, it shows their strength in depth. However it will also indicate United are Not yet the finished article. United surely should beat a city team without their major striker.
City were a joy to watch at times on Sunday Problem we are having at the moment is that we can only press for so long and we are running out of steam so if teams know that if they stay in the game then they have a real chance against us. Other than the Romanian pub team, every other team has got themselves back into the game after being utterly dominated for a long period,if that happens with the better sides that's where we will be severely tested We may have to change how we set up against Utd as Iheanacho doesn't do the work off the ball Sergio does so we may play 4-2-3-1 to give him workers either side in sterling and Nolito rather than the 4-1-4-1 we've been generally playing so probably DeBruyne would be sacrificed Bravo Zabaleta Stones Otamemdi Clichy Fernandinho Gundogan Sterling Silva Nolito Iheanacho
I think it is one match that would have come very early and would not have any effect on the eventual outcome of the title. I expect us to win because we are playing at home and I think we have better stamina. But anything can definitely happen when you play a team like City with or without their main striker.
Surprised by that. I would've thought De Bruyne is the natural replacement to score goals. I expect Pep to play him as the forward and Iheanacho on the bench.
If you need workers either side of Iheanacho surely that would see De Bruyne replace Sterling? Haven't seen Nolito enough to judge his work rate, but Sterling can be a bit lazy, particularly if playing against an organised Mourinho defence with Shaw trying to pin him back and attack down that flank.
Sterling has been anything but lazy this year DeBruyne has been the one who's struggled to fit into peps system so far
