Why does that bother you? It's not like we are rivals or anything.

If we are going to make a late surge (and it would need to be some surge) then its Cardiff, Reading, Boro and Hull who we need to catch. Sharp is Donny's only goal threat and they happen to be playing Hull tommorrow. Therefore the chances of gaining on Hull is reduced now. Merely matchemtical really - but yes we certainly have no other reason to care

But we are rivals ! Any team that stands in our way are rivals and we want to win at all costs. So whether it's Hull or Accrington Stanley we want to win. In Nigel we trust

When your in the play offs places and teams chasing them places will want you to lose. You now there to be shot at, its up to the clubs to shoot you down

You know it's all gone quiet on Maynard, I'm wondering if it's worth a cheeky little bid on him, I appreciate he may not want to come and that Becks has found his form but why not

Good luck to him although there are some rather strange aspects about his 'choice'

    1) Saunders had hinted that the player had decided to help them in their relegation fight?
    2) Thought geography was supposedly a factor?
    3) Promotion is not guaranteed - for either us or the Saints (even in their lofty position) - and if it is merely down to playing in the Prem why is his agent not touting one of the current prem teams in the relegation dogfight?
    4) Can't be money? - we are reportedly very generous on that front
    5) Competition - is he any more guaranteed a starting berth with the Saints than with us - or is Lambert and or Lallane on the verge of a move?

    Interesting -

    Lallana is a midfielder

    They play Lambert and Connolly

With Waghorn and Schlupp back soon and Delfouneso coming in who Sharp of got in ahead of Nugent and Beckford

No lambert, lallana, chaplow may have been more of the problem for us... 3 of the top 5 championship scorers if this goes through! The reason I post here however is Sharp accepting terms with us on less than the 28k you offered seems a bit odd, any clause in the contract you offered discouraged him maybe?

Oh, and Lambert and Lallana are strictly not for sale. Cortese has made that clear and is a man of his words <ok>

I dont think this ones hard to understand guys...Sharp wants to play in the EPL. Saints have been consistent all season and look strong contenders to do that. West Ham dont need him and showed no interest. Why would he be potentially as stupid as maynard and go to a relegation favourite EPL team because he will only be back in the CCC next season. We are certainly not certain to go up and our current position (which was worse when he tried to sign Sharp) is not flatering, even if we do have potential. No brainer for me this one. But Proud i do agree that since Beck has hit form he would not be guranteed a place now
