There was quite a bit of talk about this fixture when it was anounced, which is close to Sunderland, so I'd expect a good turnout. We had around 1500 at Norwich, on a Sunday, and the support was excellent. The team are putting in the effort, at long last, and I'm sure the Sunderland fans will respond.
Me & @MaradonerKebab are going marra..... I'm just debating whether to park at Meadowhall and get the tram into town...or... take a chance and park at Wednesdayite car park (£7) which is across the road from the ground? Railway Hotel seems to be the 'away fans' pub ?!? Can't wait !!!!!!
It was great day Smug. I'm still at families in Aylsham, have had a great weekend, gonna travel up to Sheffield for a the big match. It's great to be competitive again. Was just the ticket when Grayson came over at full time. Any doubters its time to move on and get right behind these lads, they're putting a good shift in .
Was going to ask @Home_and_Away if I could jump in with him but now I've seen the Ticket price I've changed my mind. Going to Manchester September 30th we a weekend with my lady so saving for that. 36 quid is ****ing disgraceful.
Gutted I can't make this one as it's my first week in my new job in London and can't get the time off. Was tempted to ask for a delayed start date just to get this one in but thought it might not give off the best impression... Was at Norwich yesterday though and the support was top notch.
I'll be at the 'London' games and have some great Sunderland mates there, keep in touch ... good luck with the job
Nice one mate! Just had my first day today and one of the lads on the desk behind me is a Sunderland lad. Gonna meet for a few beers with him before Barnsley away. Great to see how many of us there are scattered around!
Norwich was exactly the same. It's shameful. I reckon there will be Prem games going cheaper this season.
Like you said Bri, if us or the Toon are down the clubs rub their hands cos they know we will shift them at whatever they charge. It's bullshit but in a way it's something to be proud of. I'll never forget a Tuesday night game at Portsmouth when we took nearly 4,000. Absolutely incredible.
