Sheffield United are knocking on the door of the playoffs, as they lie in 8th, just four points adrift of 6th place. It has been an impressive season for last years League one winners, helped by Billy Sharpe, who a few weeks ago became one of the only three players to score 200 goals in the English league this century. We should hopefully have Smyth available again from the start, and it is encouraging the Luongo made it through Saturday without any problems which is encouraging. I fear it'll be tough on Tuesday night as we enter that part of the season where some teams have a lot to play for, and others (like ourselves I am pleased to say) are destined for mid table, and can't really do much to change that. Surely we now want to see out the season without any major injuries, whilst giving as much game time and experience to the likes of Eze and Smyth. Last time out, let's hope they've got the same keeper tomorrow night;
Tx Dave. No easy games and this is a toughie. Very happy memories of our win there in 200? They started off well but have fizzled out so we have a decent enough chance. Hope Smyth can start. COYRsss
Midweek game away to a good team in Yorkshire. Surely a comfortable away victory in pleasant weather with the team applauded off the pitch from all four stands.
I am still grinning from the Bolton result and am slightly surprised that we have another match tomorrow. I am sure Ollie will stick to the same 3:5:2 formation. The only question is will he rest anyone, for example play Baptista? Plus how much of a run out he will give the youngsters.
He won’t change a winning team until we are mathematically safe after which we will be making eight changes a game regardless of result. Love Smith at home but in the away games he doesn’t do it for me, at least not from the start. We won’t have much of the ball so we need energy and young Smyth must be full of confidence.
Gonna be changes From WestLondonSport Bidwell hurt his shoulder and Robbo hurt his toe. “Robbo is looking the more unlikely of the two at the minute, but we’ll assess where they are and make a decision from there. “We’ve had a few clear weeks in a row, so in general the lads are in a good bill of health, we’ve managed to manage the injuries we’ve had and cover them well. Much more important for Robbo to play against Forest, imho Baptiste in for Robbo Maybe Furlong in for Bidwell (or vice versa if you see what I mean)...
It seems that there are "temporary" changes in the first team coaching staff. http://www.westlondonsport.com/qpr/ramsey-takes-first-team-duties-qpr-following-flemings-departure Will Ramsey have any impact for tomorrow's team selection?
If they have picked up knocks, them it would make sense to rest them. Especially with another game on Saturday. If Robbo does not play, then who will make the long throw-ins? They are often more useful and potent than our crosses!
Very true Oslo - I presume that the match will be streamed on QPR+? If so, then I will probably be mult-tasking with the Champions League on the box and QPR+ on the laptop.
So should Holloway go into this game with a view to throw everything at them and go for the three points - and possibly be well beaten OR be strong and focus on the defensive to try for the point? Thoughts?
I hope we play our game and without the ball we press them all over the pitch. Seriously we are not a bad side and if the chances are taken we can win against team like the blades. QPR are not a hopeless case Team is growing imo
