Or for me where I am.. Cancelled op on Friday, rescheduled to today, cancelled and sent home, I just hope this ****ing Nitrate spay keeps me alive. Was told by a registrar consultant, the best way to get this op done is to come in as a 999 and tell them the spray doesn't take away the chest pain...wtf Now I know they have cancelled non emergency and routine ops but I was told in January that if I didn't have this bypass done then I'd be lucky to live a year. I don't ever think I have been as disillusioned to just how ****e this Country is now, 45 years of NHS contributions for a kick in the face, ****ing ****ers.. Anyway, home now, going to stoke my angina up and get myself blue lighted early next week, spend some time with the girls till then, be happy, have a beer and relish the moments. Thanks to @Tel for the pm, I will get back to you bro soon.. Love y'all and be back or dead soon... ....
Oh mate, that’s terrible news, gutted for you. Forgetting the fact that it’s still not been done, psyching yourself up for going through the op and then seeing it cancelled twice must be awful. Take the consultants good advice mate, play the game and make yourself an ‘emergency’. Stay strong mate, you’ve got this
Sorry to be reading this Joe, I was wondering if you had the Op on Friday or whether all this mess was going to screw it up for you. Only you know what's right for you Joe, but yeah if I was in your shoes right now, I'd be considering exactly the same as you and blue lighting it. It's an awful situtation to be in, we want to mended, but we wish we didn't have to be mended and the worries that go with it, then fate pulls a twist like this!
I don't know you very well, not been here long but, that's a horrible thing to hear. Truly hope you get it sorted and the help you need
Sorry to hear this mate. But not surprised. Btw the 999 emergency thing doesn't always work. Went through similar with my missus who was at a specialist hospital, and after the first time we called emergency, they told her they would only take her again if beds were available and instead she'd have to go to her local hospital - which if anyone knows Stepping Hill is a fckng clueless mess. fwiw I hope the op goes ahead soon mate
The wait is the hardest thing, strangely enough... I saw the surgeon on a Friday and he told me they would be admitting me the following Thursday then operating on Friday morning... longest week of my life ... thoughts went pretty dark and you struggle to hold it together as your mind wanders
Christ, that's ****ing awful Joe As Tobes says, you definitely need to play the game here and blue light yourself in. Until that point then enjoy some quality time with your girls mate.
Some of these things happen for a reason I believe mate, sorry that you’re being put through this ****e, try to stay positive/calm etc and when your time to go in the hospital comes you’ll be prepared to win. Take good care bro. X
****ing shambles bro, I was told after my attack in January that I needed this op asap, one artery stented x2, 3 more in just a worst state, pencilled in late January, granted I had a ****ing bug, probably this thing now, who knows. The consultant gave me a year max without the op, so here again at home with the girls wondering wtf. Toilet rolls the trend, dry pasta the food of choice and a world full of ****ing idiots following the yellow brick road.. Sad thing is mate, was looking at old photos a couple of weeks ago, now I ain't the ****ing tallest but what a physique I had mid 80's, blonde hair and blue eyes to match. A silver fox now haha but just as happy, need fixing though.. my memories..
A wee suggestion Joseph. Do you have any family up here in Scotland? If so you should come visit and take yourself to a Scottish A&E. Haremyres hospital in East Kilbride is a centre for heart disease. Stats would suggest you are more likely to get the operation you need up here than down in England.
Cheers bro.. Unfortunately no family up there now but thanks for the heads up. The Haremyres has a excellent rep too, food for thought.. Stay safe mate..
I dare say if you decided to visit East Kilbride or the surrounding area and suddenly became ill a lack of local relatives widne matter a fùck Joe.
