Lots of teams have built them and then faded away, Middlesbrough, Derby, Arsenal, Spurs etc etc. Do they do anything to raise a club or even it's profile, do players want to go and play at a club because of it's shiny new building or for other reasons? Everton are the latest to get planning permission for one, will it be a nice place to work but a millstone on the the club that will pull them further down?
I’m looking forward to seeing Everton’s ground when completed and really hope that the end result is not too far away from the architects designs. It looks a cracking stadium.
The contractor who’s building it took the original architects plans and reworked them after we’d appointed them. Which meant we had to resubmit the planning application, which is one reason why it’s dragged on longer than hoped, but should ensure that the end product is close to the images that they themselves have created.
Its superb inside I was massively impressed . I ve been to Wembley , Cardiff which really impressed me and Twickenham which didnt but Spurs is an whole new level . Cant wait to go back .
Tickets are expensive but I go regularly... never paid more than £60 and that was for a CL semi final...mostly paid around £45-£50....way too expensive but not what you said...I could never afford to take my girls to games at those prices
I have seen many magnificent buildings mate, they were not the main reason i was in their locations and would not entice me to go back week after week for another look
I like Twickenham because it’s an old school stadium modernised. Wembley reminds me of a shopping centre inside, I haven’t been inside spur’s one.
