On the manager front there seems three obvious candidates (that I've seen or know about): Joyce Brown Bruce Player front: A. Dawson Ashbee Geovanni Windass Obviously my knowledge only goes back the last 10-15 years.
Nick Barmby - ****ed over Leeds, wanted to come here when in his prime at the age of 29, was instrumental in our first ever rise to the top tier. Never forgotten.
You've tried a bit of humor char so well done. It's good to see. In ten or twenty years time when we've done **** all again .sir Steve will be rightly viewed as our greatest ever manager. And browny second. Plenty of managers get teams like us out of division 4 or 3. Good but no big deal. Only two have got us in the top league. I'd look at the team we had out for the final and see how well Bruce did.
You can argue the position both found us in when taking us to the top flight , Brown rescued us from league one and had the pressure of us never doing it Before , Bruce took over a steady mid table side - I also would argue he kept us up in first season with a much weaker squad then what Bruce did - I'm not slating Bruce , I like him , I just think Browns achievements really were fantastic and often overshadowed by pink jumpers
Like people mocking him for his fake tanning and other things, I don't get why it mattered, that first season really was unbelievable, beating arsenal and Tottenham among many other things with a significantly worse team than what bruce had at his disposal. I liked bruce but for me Browny achieved more and provided better memories. Bruce for me tarnished his reputation a bit with the European football. im pretty sure nearly every city fan would rather have gone further in that competition than trying to stay in the premier league, I know which would provide the better memories.
Details are on the HCSS Hall of Fame thread... https://www.not606.com/threads/the-hull-city-southern-supporters-hall-of-fame.353616/page-3
Most important managers in order for me are: 1. Browny 2. Joyce 3. Taylor We should have cult hero hall of fame: McShane Geovanni Whitmore and Goodison Duane Darby etc
Even I've had enough of that now. I'm pleased the Trust are prepared to make a stand on it too, they've gone up in my estimation.
Well yeah I do expect it from them , this isn't something that even exists now though , it's a new thing Who was it who said in that meeting that the club doesn't have a policy not to use 'Hull City' ? This is a perfect example that they do have that policy
I'm confused (easily done) are there now two halls of fame one from the HCSS and another from the club?
Yes. 2 halls. One has a welcoming light at the end of it. The other looks like it's out of The Shining.
