Me I haven’t a clue I just hope we get a really successful one for a change that can put us in the top 10.

With our budget/resources top 10 is probably out of reach on a consistent basis anyway.

No idea who we should go for as I’m not too clued up on managers in foreign leagues, hopefully our recruitment team are if they decided to sack Hassenhuttl

Tbh I don’t watch enough international football anymore to suggest someone.

But we have a team of scouts that get paid for that job. There will be better out there. It isn’t working and we need to get rid ASAP.

    1 - Matthias Jaissle
    2 - Franck Haise

Would be my clear top two (presuming it's silly to say Poch, cos he'd be #1 if he could somehow be sold the 'project').

We are more than just a manager change away from the Top 10. A lot more. Continued, sustained, substantial net positive investment for a start. One window in the past 3 or so years is not really enough

Agreed. Once again this season the prime focus has to be on staying up

It’s that’s the aim someone like Dyche would get the defence organised quickly. Not really the football I want to see but without a striker and creative player what else can we do? Would only take him on a 1 season deal, which I assume he wouldn’t want.

Without change in the investment levels (I’m talking like Villa levels minimum) then this is the aim every season

Yeah sorry but it’s SR’s job (I’ve definitely no clue outside of UK). It’s a multimillion £ industry & investment & I’m sure they have candidates & if not, then RH’s here for a while longer.

I do agree. This is why it’s such a hard decision, even now.

Any manager would struggle with these players and Ralph has done a very good job over the last few years considering what he has been dealt with.

Hang on one cotton pickin minute. Does the aim really have to be just survival?

Obviously under Gao it was, he spent nothing. But we’ve bought Bazza, Tino, Lavia etc, players we expect to go on and do big things (with buy on clauses).

We have JWP, KWP and Sally Sue (who has attracted interest from Man City). We bought Aribo who appears a real talent.

I know our net spend isn’t exactly high, but we have bought players with real potential. Should we really just be aiming for survival?

You say it your self - potential. Not the finished product yet. And as you said - net spend is still low compared to the league as a whole. I think we are approx 15th for net spend. Given survival is 16th-17th…

Well compare our team right now to any other PL squad and I’d say we are around 15th or so. Villa, Everton and Wolves are all poor and have been derided recently but if you were to do a best 11 with ours and each of them how many of our players would make it in?

We have a lot of young players who may or may not go on to big things, if they do it won’t be with us, but they will obviously have impressed enough to get their big moves. The question will be how well we spend the money we get for them as to whether or not we can start to target higher positions in the league. This will take time and hugely relies on us staying up in the first place and ensuring our recruitment is very good

    Dreamland- Poch, Tuchel, Koeman
Wouldn't be too miffed - Benitez, Frank
Teddies out of the pram- Keeping Ralph, Rodgers, Howe, Ole, Beilsa

Either way, we desperately need a change now. Put one of the coaches as Interim manager for the city game (we're going to get absolutely embarrassingly ****ed in that) and get someone new in for the West Ham game

If Koeman was available, I wouldn't say that he'd be anywhere near as unrealistic as Poch or Tuchel.

But he's already agreed to return as manager of the Dutch national team, once Van Gaal retires after the WC.

I can see Dyche and Nuno being linked to pretty much any bottom half PL job which becomes available.

Having finally got the Academy firing again after he destroyed it, people want him back, yes. Doesn’t bear thinking about.
