Ask the question why we can be set up and play like that and yet get everything wrong and play so awfully other times. As good as today was (despite the tactical error of the last 10 minutes or so) there should be questions asked about this and there are underlying problems that need to be sorted. If Guidolin stays, and I really hope he doesn't, this inconsistency in management has to be ironed out.

The fact Guidolin got almost everything right today does not exonerate his past mistakes. More of the same until seasons end and I'll give him the benefit of the doubt but he's got a long way to go before he proves he can get it right consistently.

Oh and I'm pretty concerned at these Yanks.

 

Kiff me to they seem to like a bit of chopping and changing between sporting clubs. I am certainly not convinced and I cant help thinking it will be a plaything for them and will leave us in a worse position financially than we are now.

Well, that seems to "confirm" that the Yanks are purchasing shares from some of the current shareholders - the shareholdings of the Morgans, Brian Katzen & Rob Davies would total more than 50%.....

 

If that's directed at me, if you've noticed I've always thaught Guido is the man for the job.

Footie fans are so fickle. Yes, there have been some that have said they wanted Guidolin to stay, and have said so for a while. I don't deny that. They say look at his points record. I say we've had some very fortunate results and that our best results before today have been under Curtis whilst he was laid up. Set that against some very questionable starting lineups and tactics. Throw in some very reactive management after we inevitably go behind and you see where I'm going.

Now all of a sudden he gets it dead right today and now he's the Messiah. Monk ring a bell, guys?

This was a great result today despite Chelsea being under-strength. They are still a top side. If Guidolin proves he can do this consistently until the end of the season he'll go some way to convincing me he's the right man. But not yet and not by a long way. Some have short memories it seems.

Roof: I honestly don't understand why you cannot accept that I have a different opinion to you about Guidolin. I don't agree with you but I acknowledge your right to have that view. It's not 'bitching' to point out unequivocal facts. Most posters have agreed with my assessment of Guidolin before today.

Everyone is different. Some like me remain cautious but are prepared to be won over if Guidolin continues to get it right. Others lose their ****ing minds because we've won today. Diifferent strokes and all that.

Kiffy go and find a post where I have wanted Franco out at the end of the season? you'll not, and even on the thread 'Poll on manager' you will find I support keeping Franco, I have even stated on many occasions that the negative defensive Italian style is to be expected, given where we have been for months, you will always find me backing the manager until it becomes impossible, that's not being fickle, that's just being a supporter, anyway I'm not getting carried away, I just think Franco deserves more praise than he is getting on here from some, I'm sure he'll come out of his shell now that we are safe.........
