Southampton loan transfer signing Steven Caulker to be returned to QPR after making just one league start 22:30, 30 Dec 2015 By Football Spy England international centre-back who had cost the Londoners £8m has been unable to dislodge Virgil van Dijk in the centre of Saints' defence Twi please log in to view this image Ill-fated: Former England star Caulker in July ] Southampton boss Ronald Koeman is ready to cut short the season-long loan of Queens Park Rangers' England defender Steven Caulker. Caulker, who cost the Hoops £8million last year, has made only one Premier League start since arriving as a potential central-defensive partner to Jose Fonte. But soon afterwards, Koeman also snapped up fellow Dutchman Virgil van Dijk from Celtic, leaving Caulker out of contention and used only in Cup competitions. Southampton see no point in keeping the 24-year-old ex-Tottenham and Cardiff player, other than as occasional cover. Koeman will make his decision when the transfer window reopens on Saturday and he considers his options.
It actually says: "Koeman will make his decision when the transfer window reopens on Saturday and he considers his options."

Yeh, someone told him he'd have to look after & defend the younger players in the team if there was any trouble so he did his usual thing and went MIA.
I believe that what is actually planned is that Saints will return him to QPR, QPR will return him to Cardiff, Cardiff to Spurs, and Spurs intend to hand him back to his mum.
There have been a few Clubs supposedly after him according to various media outlets, on either loan or buy deals. My memory is probaby about as reliable, but I think I read Palace, Villa, Leicester and Norwich were among them. I do remember being shocked that the media were throwing PL Club names about, and not ambitious Pub and Prison outfits.
You said it exactly how I wanted to say it. Send that Flower back from whence he came. Stuff a CORKer up him and send him packing.
