Injuries are literally killing the season. We could have been in with a great chance of Europe, but that's looking pretty unlikely now.
Second half will be a Shane Long masterclass - he'll get a penalty, then head the winner. Or I've had more than enough beer...
Why on earth are people giving up here? We’re lacking a little from ‘prime Saints’ but we’re making chances and still very much in this. Plus David Luiz.
I have no access to the stats but I suspect Diallo might have 100% pass success. I like him. A lot. Vin
Wonderful 45 minutes of football. Credit to Arsenal -they came with a plan to play us at our own game by pressing high up the pitch and forcing errors as we tried to pass out from the back. They dominated the first 25 minutes and should have been ahead but for Armstrong's cracking goal. But we changes our shape and started to come back into it. Really open game with chances at both ends before another break. A gamble by McCarthy that did not pay off and another cracking goal. We will do well to get anything out of this but cracking game so far.. Edit: Just read back through some of the comments. Can't people enjoy watching good football? We're really not playing bad. Arsenal are awesome. I love the way Ralph is trying to change the shape to counter them rather than thinking about who is making mistakes and should are subbed. Fans eh?
There’s no doubt that he’s serious class. My only criticism is that when he plays, James goes back a bit deeper - I prefer to see him a bit further forward.
Saints fans are now used to winning, so we get confused if the opposition's total is higher than ours. Ralph will sort things out at half time, and we'll win 4-2. This beer is good
Lacazette should have been booked earlier and then for the dive looking for that pen .....cheating ****.
Yes continues to impress. He’s going to be a wonderful player & hopefully with Saints for a reasonable period.
Diallo is class, would love to see him get forward more. As other have said, no need to write us off here, we look decent enough to get back into it.
