The Whites are in the form of their lives. If you excuse them for their last trip down to the South Coast (where they lost against Brighton 2-0), they have not lost since West Ham away, early in March. Leeds are 10 points ahead of the Saints, and are separated by four places. Recent home wins against Fulham and Crystal Palace have elevated Ralph Hasenhüttl's team to 14th. Leeds will keep the pressure on Arsenal and Everton who are within striking distance, with two games left. Leeds have no new injury doubts, which normally means Bielsa will stick to the same line up. However, with Cooper, Poveda, Roberts and Rodrigo benched in recent games, the Argentine may well shuffle his starting line up!
Bit worried by this one to be honest, never have had a good record on the south coast, bit like a poor mans London for us, however having said that i am quietly confident that we can get a result, imperative we keep Ward-Prowse from free kick striking range though. Good morning everyone From a rather wet South coast.
Game at Elland road was a strange one. We were poor first half and should have been trailing at the break. We Scored early in the second then picked them off on the counter as they chased the game. As ever first goal is crucial. big game actually from a league position perspective.... it’s an unpredictable league but if we win tonight we’d be favourites to catch Everton... they have worse goal difference and Man City last game of the season. It’s more of an outside chance to catch arsenal but not impossible.
Fans are back in for this one right? If so I reckon that might be enough to give Southampton a bit of a boost. Tricky game. Looks easier than it actually is.
Big game tonight, final positions 8,9 and ten up for grabs expecting a hard game tonight but we should edge it for the 3 points ( hope so anyway) No doubt Southampton and West Brom would love to spoil our end of season party can't blame them for that. Who would have thought we would be in this position way back at the beginning of the season, whatever happens it's been a great season.
I remember listening to Ralph H moaning non stop after we smashed 3 past them. He complained about slippy pitch yet our players were on their backsides more than his. He complained about our non stop running even, as if Bielsa should ask the lads to go easy on them. He did have a player break an ankle however but he didnt shut up for over a week. This could be a tricky game yes because we kept Ings quiet last time and made Che Adams look shocking. They could get their own back but hoping Llorente and Co can do the biz again and then pave the way for at least another 3 from us
