This 100%,VAR good for telly **** for live football. Doesn't want tweaking (Murphy is such a clown) wants binning.
Ref bottled sending milivojevic off yesterday. Blatent dissent in his face after getting a first yellow. Ref had his hand in his pocket then stopped himself. Such weak refereeing.
May be misremembering, but I too thought that to be offside a goal scoring part of your body had to be offside....so not your hand or arm. If he was offside for his body rather than his arm, it must have been by the thickness of human skin. VAR has been OK for us this season.....perhaps the Universe is just correcting for all our bad luck in past seasons.
Strewth Guys...........Some luck went our way for a change. Some of you are complaining because you wanted us to lose..........???? Bloody hell there is no satisfying some of you!! let's be thankful for small mercies and just get on with our survival. VAR will balance things out trust me.................
Agreed, Redmond clearly got the ball and then the Palace player realising he lost the ball went over the tackling leg
I was watching on stream and there was a pretty good close up of this incident and although not a professional lip reader, I was pretty clear what he was screaming into the referees face and it involved both "F" words and the "C" bomb. He should have gone along with McCarthy who was pushing his luck throughout the game. Good job I am not a referee as I would have chinned him then red carded him
https://www.southamptonfc.com/news/...ngs-southampton-fc-vs-crystal-palace-pl-19-20 Danny Ings feels the love from the fans. Wonder why? Can think of 14 reasons
Special mention to the fans yesterday. A pretty much positive attitude from start to finish because there is a connection with the players again. Lots of good will and never really exhausted as the players once again all put in more than 90 per cent. They enjoyed playing at home yesterday.
Nobody's saying that we wanted to lose Beddy! We are all saying we were very lucky for that goal to be disallowed and that the reason for that was a poor VAR decision, the very thing that it was brought in to stop. I would never want us to lose at any time let alone to prove a point. The comments were all about VAR not that we shouldn't have got a point.
That's one of the things pissing me off in the game, and the refs are not strong enough about penalising players who do it. I know we have players who do it as well, so I'm not just suggesting other teams should be penalised!!!!!! There was a also a tackle on Ings that looked to me like he'd been scythed down and we didnt even get a free kick.
I am still concerned. For all of our good play and huffing and puffing yesterday, we never looked like scoring until the last 25 mins. Our goal was our only shot on target up until that point and that was primarily through a mistake by them and not us creating it. I thought Palace were very solid defensively Another concern is if Ings gets injured, I am not sure who will replace him and be as successful and get the goals.
