Entertaining game, could have gone either way. Both teams will be disappointed with the goals they conceded though. Shout out to Alex McCarthy. Some very saves and dominated in the air. Will give him credit for the Vardy miss for getting his angles spot on and not going down early.
I feel we are at a point of fine margins from being a very good team. They are a number of players who are a working progress. Some better decision making and everything will click
Decent point that and both sides had the chances to win it. Annoying to concede the first goal as it was so avoidable. But still, Leicester are good and we played well first half (again). Roll on saturday
I would have agreed at 50 mins but Leicester were much better in the second half. Maddison had a very good game and kept driving them on.
Shame both ours and Brighton’s game ended up in a draw. I would have liked the chance to overtake them with a win at the weekend
There is that argument, but would you rather develop Adams and tella, ready for the championship next year, or play Broja and get some goals? It may sound dramatic but if Burnley win their game in hand then we’re 2pts above the drop zone. I can’t be the only person who’s concerned? Tonight’s performance concerns me more than the loss against Liverpool.
Thought I heard the commentator say we haven’t scored a goal in the final 30 mins of any game this season. That sound right? Bit of a shocker if true. Conceded the 3rd highest amount of late goals though (final 15 mins).
Not sure I agree with that logic, you surely want to play the best team you have available? Especially given we're not a club with a wealth of attacking talent. Who's to say this is only season here anyway. Good chance we could get him on loan again next season too as he'll be nowhere near their team. We need to give these players gametime if we want to attract others in a similar situation.
Maybe. I don’t know why I feel so negative after that performance? I just wanted to see us capitalise and close out a game.
ie, two places above the drop. Means we would not be going down. At present I'll take that. Presence, in the PL matters more, and obviously I'd much prefer to be further up that table, it is what it is for a club like ours.
I’m not sure people realise how close the table is above us. 1 point off being tied 11th. So being 16th is kind of meaningless at the moment Will have to see where we are in the new year as surely things won’t still be this close then
Shooting practice still needed. Got a few on target tonight but nothing that troubled Schmeichel, other than the stop for the first goal. We must lead the charts in scuffed shots that bobble along the ground.
Yep, that makes some sense but its not logic exactly more my observation on what the club is doing. If he was light years ahead of Adams and Armstrong and banging them in for laughs I expect it would be different. as a policy, bringing in players in his position as backups and impact subs rather than first 11 starters seems more sustainable.
That's really not the scenario in play though so hardly worth discussing. Its a glass half full, glass half empty season. There are a dozen teams around the same level and we are holding our own at the moment. Whether you see full or empty though, that's on you to worry over. I feel if we carry on the way we are we will pick up some momentum.
