I partially agree. I don't think Stekkers is awful. At the Liverpool game, it felt like Caulker was awful and it wasn't until watching replays that I agreed he could have maybe got to some of the goals. He didn't quite deserve the annihilation that some gave him after that. He's not Fraser either for sure, however as said previously, Fraser got battered last season at times. I have said that I wouldn't buy a keeper in Jan. Fraser will be bag soon and hopefully ok. Stekkers is done a steady job for us if I'm allowed to not take one game into consideration (realising that one game judgements is the new vogue )

Apologies for being a bit terrier like.... I just got fed up by the factual and expert posting that were "after the event" and contradictory to such recent views from the same. At least I admitted when I got Ramirez wrong!

Gazza had a blinder vs Spurs U21s recently btw. Watched the highlights on the os. So last week's performance didn't quite come out of knowhere.

 

I've gone soft....lost all my Saints' nerves of steel....I can't take another loss Could we win today, please Or a draw....

 

We could Fran, yes. Not saying we definitely will, but despite the fact many of our fans seem to have written us off, we could still win.

In fact being at home we ought to be favourites

I know Spurs are in a blip (as are we), but as a fan I lack confidence (bad Fran ). I think the team need to regain their confidence as well....no folding if we go a goal down. Fans need to do their bit....meanwhile I shall hide behind the sofa.

Real excuse coming up: have heart problem that means I have to avoid stress. Not in danger of keeling over, but I feel quite ill. So far, I've watched a friendly, the Everton game and Leicester live. In the Leicester game, I had to stop watching the pitch towards the end...had to stare at the Chapel end instead (that was hard to take as well ). Trying to gear myself up for the FA Cup match...hoping that won't be as stressful as a League game.

Good news and bad news.

My lad beat me 4-0 in FIFA; he was Saints, me Spurs.

I then beat him 1-2 when he was cobblers and I was the blue few! I feel dirty.

 

It's a sign. We will trash Spurs but Pompey will also win.

 

I'll be on radio silence for this one. Looking forward to the 90 minutes of emotion in 2 seconds later. Good luck everyone.

I see Juanmi has dismissed approaches from Malaga to try and prove himself here in the second half of the season. Always thought he was potentially the best of our summer signings but like Clasie and Romeu has struggled to adapt. That said, they have all shown glimpses in the last few weeks of their true potential. Would like to see him get some decent minutes on the pitch today.
