The great scribes of Southampton have been at work. He's the Ken-yan The migh-ty Kenyan Victor Wan-Yamaaa Repeat Then it's A-Wan-Yama, A-Wan-Yama etc You get Lad points for doing the high noted "Ooooooooooo..." Over the top of the chorus For my little dig at the lyrics, I think it's good to sing to a tune you don't hear at other grounds all the time. I think we should be able to have a better song for Mané too
I didn't hear that the other night. I like it. I'm in and will work on the block 35 boys and girls. Sadio Mane still needs Radio Gaga to get going properly. It will be disappointing if that opportunity is missed. Even the clapping sections are perfect for football fans. Maybe we should ask Vitesse to help us out
I used to know Billy and his missus( think he is boss now) and the one who got 2 girls into trouble in the same week. They used to drink in West End,they were alright boys
Talking of which, there were 2-3 hanging around where I parked my car on Thursday night when we got back to it. Not very pleasant. This was off empress road and by an alley way that linked empress road and mount pleasant. The other end of the alley is about 100 yards from the North end of Derby road, so I assume Derby road is still the centre of that type of activity?
Was sat in itchen pretty close . Those dutch fans were pretty special imo. Sang most of the game. They made so much noise aswell. Good stuff
Excellent question that I will happily sink 20 minutes into. Let's take a look. There's 22 ties in the play-off round, so we need to be in the top 22 UEFA coefficients out of the 44 teams. There will be 29 winners from the Europa League 3rd round, and 15 losers from the Champions League 3rd round. We're the 16th highest* in the current Europa League round, so we need teams above us in the EL to get knocked out, and teams below us in the CL to lose. If the total number of teams doing either of those is at least 9, we're seeded. So, what's our chances of that. Champions League teams below us getting knocked down first. Certainties: Milsami Orhei v Skënderbeu Korçë (0-2) HJK v Astana (0-0) Pretty likely: Qarabag (1-0 down v Celtic) Mydtjylland (2-1 down v APOEL) Malmo (2-0 down v Red Bull Salzberg) Reasonable chance: Partizan (1-1 v Steaua) Molde (1-1 v Dynamo Zagreb) Videoton (1-1 v BATE) Rapid Wien (2-2 v Ajax) Europa League teams above us getting knocked out. Almost certain: Sampdoria (0-4 v Vojvodina) Reasonable chance: Zurich (0-1 v Dinamo Minsk) Vitoria de Guimaraes (1-2 v Reindorf Altach) Trabzonspor (0-1 v Rabotnicki) ??? Legia Warsaw (Abandoned) Unlikely/no hope: Borussia Dortmund Rubin Kazan Athletic Bilbao AZ Standard Liege Bordeaux Slovan Liberic St Etienne Copenhagen PAOK *to make matters even more complicated, we have exactly the same coefficient as West Ham. What happens if they get through and we are the 22nd and 23rd highest coefficients? Presumably a draw to decide who is seeded...or they could go by disciplinary record. **remember, full credit should be given for working even if the final solution is wrong.
I sort of get concerned about the Saints crowd's opinion of Sadio Mane. I know he does himself no favours. Plays brilliantly - Makes dangerous situations happen in attack - please log in to view this image Gets plenty of assists - Scores timely goals, and the fastest hat-trick in PL history - please log in to view this image Runs away to the opposition fans and wonders why it's all gone quiet - please log in to view this image
