    A little off topic, but still football related;

    Southend have sacked their manager, but want him to come back and lead out the team and manage them for the JP final. Has anyone heard of a stranger managerial call?

    I think the oddest thing about it is that they're wanting to replace Paul Sturrock, with Phil Brown... How do either men still get jobs in football?

    Sums up problems the world over. The same knackered old faces failing in jobs, getting sacked, then getting a new job because they have more experience than up and comers.

    Totally bizarre! So a new manager will come in fir two games, then Sturrock will return for the cup final, then the new manager will resume the post again! Never heard of anything so ridiculous....

    Well, apart from the fact that Phil brown is their first choice.

    How does Fat Sham get a job in football? Somebody somewhere in the club doesn't know what he's doing.

    Dalglish, Souness, Allardyce, Keegan (2nd time), Kinnear....we've been just guilty of it more than most.

    As for Phil Brown, the guy was the inspiration for Jimmy Bullard's comedy moment, for that we should always be thankful to him!!
