please log in to view this image Pompey have ‘sounded out’ a move for 21 year old Brentford youngster Myles Peart-Harris. He is a 6' 2" tall attacking midfielder. That’s according to TEAMtalk, who claim the Blues share an interest in the attacking midfielder with Championship trio Sheffield Wednesday, Huddersfield and QPR. Now the former Chelsea youngster is deemed someone of interest as sporting director Rich Hughes intensifies his efforts to find a replacement for Manchester City loanee Alex Robertson, who is unlikely to feature for the Blues again this season following a hamstring injury. Hughes’ reported interest comes after he signed Peart-Harris for former club Forest Green Rovers in the summer of 2022 - just weeks before he made the switch to Fratton Park. The youngster subsequently made 47 League One appearances for the New Lawn Stadium outfit, scoring six goals and registering four assists during a season-long loan. Brentford are reportedly keen to loan him out again over the second half of this season in order to assist his development. That has seen speculation of a move to Sheffield Wednesday intensify. But according to TEAMtalk, Pompey, Huddersfield and QPR are also serious suitors. Another factor that could assist the Blues in their reported interest is assistant manager Jon Harley. He’s previously worked with Peart-Harris, having been a member of the Chelsea Academy set-up for 10 years prior to his appointment as Blues assistant manager last February. Peart-Harris left the Stamford Bridge youth set-up in the summer of 2021 following 11 years on Chelsea’s books.

Pompey defender arrives on loan Tonbridge Angels are delighted to welcome Liam Vincent, a 20 year-old left full back, to the club on a month’s loan from Portsmouth. Liam joined Pompey from Bromley in June 2021 and has had loan spells in the last couple of seasons at fellow National League South clubs Chelmsford City, Maidstone United, Hampton and Richmond Borough and Worthing, where he was part of the team that made the play-offs last season. In December 2022, whilst on loan at Hampton, from full back, he scored a hat-trick against Worthing, but ended up on the losing side 4-3 and, just a few weeks later, signed for the West Sussex club! Jay Saunders welcomed Liam: “Liam is a player with a bright future in the game. He’s coming in as a left back to provide cover while Jernade is injured. I hope he enjoys his time with us.” Liam is available for selection for this afternoon's game against Worthing.

The 21-year-old former England youth international made his Premier League debut for the Bees last month. Blues boss John Mousinho said: “Myles is a skilful and powerful attacking midfield player who we’re delighted to bring to the club. “He has experience of playing at this level and the fact he has also appeared in the Premier League this season, shows his pedigree. “I’m looking forward to working with Myles for the rest of the season and am grateful to Brentford for loaning him to us.” Peart-Harris progressed through the ranks at Chelsea after joining them at the age of eight and appeared for the club in the EFL Trophy. He left for Brentford in the summer of 2021 and spent last season on loan at Forest Green in League One. A regular for the Gloucestershire outfit, Peart-Harris struck six goals in 47 appearances – including a derby winner against Cheltenham. Five of the Londoner’s seven senior outings for the Bees have been during the current campaign, with three of those coming in the Premier League during December.

His contract is due to expire end of the season, so the transfer fee should'nt be too prohibitive! He has represented Scotland at Under 17, 20 and 21 levels.

The 25-year-old has agreed a two-and-half-year deal at Fratton Park, with a club option for an additional 12 months. Blues boss John Mousinho said: “Tom is a ball-playing left-sided centre-back with a huge amount of Championship experience. “He has also captained Reading on numerous occasions and has the attributes to complement the players we already have at the club. “As well as being comfortable on the ball, Tom is also an excellent and aggressive defender, so we’re delighted to add him to our ranks.”
We must have oñe of the biggest squads in the EFL, with around 30 players potentially available. I hope that the wage bill does exceed 70% of our income. How many have arrived? Macey, Peart-Harris, Lang, Moxon and McIntyre. Have I missed Simeone. OK, Vincent has gone back out on loan, Robertson is back with his parent club. What about the Chelsea loanee? Has he returned to his parent club? It is going to be fun keeping all these guys happy for the next 16 marches, and if Pompey do as Pompey can, 19 marches.

The 26-year-old midfielder has put pen to paper on a three-and-a-half-year deal to join fellow January arrivals Matt Macey, Myles Peart-Harris, Callum Lang and Tom McIntyre on the south coast. Blues boss John Mousinho said: “Owen is a strong and powerful midfielder, who was one of the stand-out players in League Two last season. “He’s managed to kick on again during the current campaign and has been one of Carlisle’s better performers. “Owen has an eye for goal and takes a very good set-piece. He’s mobile and knows how to handle the ball, so we’re excited to have him at Pompey.”
We certainly have had a superb, and active Transfer Window, Ides. The club are now trying to offload a few existing players, to get them off the payroll. Denver Hume is in negotiations with Grimsby Town, Anthony Scully is talking to Mansfield Town, and both Gavin Whyte and Ryan Schofield could also leave on loan.
Just read on the BBC sports site that left back Denver Hume has joined Grimsby for an undisclosed fee. That's good news, as he was one of the clubs highest paid players !
Good luck to him! I hope he can achieve something good at Grimsby. I really don't know what the problem was with him as he was given very little playing time. Any idea Wooperts?
