    Game on tomorrow.

Setting aside whether this is crucial for Ole, more importantly we need to win to stay in the genuine hunt for top four or better, not just save his job.

It will be utterly exasperating and depressing in equal measure if he goes with Fred and McTominay.

How about one only, with a three man mid of Donny and Fernandes instead?

Then a front three that he needs to sort out and play players in their best positions.

My personal choice would be Rashford Cavani and Sancho, with Ronaldo and Greenwood benched.

    We live in hope!

I would have Ronaldo on the left in place of Rashford. Rashford is still rusty and wasteful.

Only way to get proper match fit is to play matches though.

I'd agree up to a point though, it is an option for Ronaldo to play there.
I think starting Ronaldo on the bench and giving Cavani a start would be a good option for this game.

We've literally got two excellent, genuinely excellent, players for each of the front three positions.

Extremely frustrating that the midfield can't get them the ball quickly enough.

We must protect that defence though! Absolutely ****ing maddening.

I think he might go 3 at the back <laugh> with Wan Bissaka and Shaw as wingbacks.

As long as the players are played in their favoured position I'm happy with either Rashford, Cavani, Sancho or Ronaldo, Cavani, Sancho.

What's tragic is that you look at those players, and whatever front 3 you put out (and I'd include Greenwood in that) it should scare the living daylights out of any defence. That's the way it should be.

Time to play DVB in midfield. I'd be quite happy for it to be DVB, Fernandes, McTominay with Pogba on the bench.

The game's been labelled "El Sackico" btw for obvious reasons aimed at both managers <laugh>

I think it all boils down to what THFC do. If they sit deep and counter like they did to City I don't see any way they lose. If they try and take United head on (like they did against Chelsea) they'll run out of gas and get picked off in the 2nd half. Nuno has a good record against United so we'll see.

So basically a win/win for United.

If I were a United fan I'd want him replaced before City.

Pogba suspended so we don't have concern ourselves for a couple of games.

Absolutely has to give van de Beek a role while he's out, or else why the **** is he employed as United player.

    City is loss leader.

Ole gets rolled out in front of the home game, we get ****ing murdered, and then absolutely no one questions him being replaced.

It won't make a huge difference losing, we're not competing for the league anyway, yet we'd still be able to scrape 4th once Solskjaer goes.

You're not wrong there. 4th will open off you lose the next two but it's still easily obtainable. We were 9th in January when we sacked Lampard and still got top 4 last season.

I think District Blue is trying for us to get a result against City as he knows if we get a new manager after that we may just get our act together in time to play Chelsea <laugh>

I've resigned myself to you guys having a new manager in charge when we play you. Teams always sack their manager right before they play us, even tomorrow's opponents Newcastle is just an example of that.

Amazing watching Brighton play Liverpool. It just illustrates how poor we were last week. It’s quite astonishing!

Ole has gone for a new defensive formation. 5 at the back. I’m full of trepidation. The Spurs front three could really make mince meat of an experimental defensive formation.

Doesn’t suit the players we have. I’ve got a very bad feeling about this.

Poor? We were absolutely ****. We literally gave the ball and the space to their front men and say: “come on just put the ball in the net.” Self sabotage of the highest order.

I don’t understand why Fred is still in that starting lineup. I just don’t get it.

But the front of Ronaldo and Cavani is what I think we should be starting with in every game. They are the two best front players that we have and they should rightfully be playing in the starting 11.

The attack is not the problem. It’s our ****ingly pathetic defence. Maguire needs to really up his game. How this expensive centre back can make so many mistakes is simply unacceptable. Shaw’s performances have also dropped.

unfortunately I can see us being routed here if Son and Kane click.

Telles could have really got a game here. I’m not sure if he’s still injured. And I don’t know about AWB as full back. He doesn’t offer enough going forward. Dallot would be better choice. But Ole always has to start Shaw, AWB and Maguire.
Oh yeah, let’s double Maguire’s salary while at it.

Not sure about that. I think this is a far more fluid and flexible formation myself.

Definitely doesn't suit wan Bissaka but the rest I don't mind.

Still think that dvdb could have played instead of Fred or McTominay but he's too far stuck in his ways.

I reckon AWB would be better as the right hand side of the back three instead of Lindelof.

Have Telles or Dalot as the wing back.

Or Sancho! How's that for an out of left side thinking idea?
