Starting to become a habit... Skyte Sports aren't happy, so at least that means we have some form of equality
Massive error to allow the winning goal but the same Assistant ref flagged our winger offside when running clear and she was about five yards on.
No its terrible, but it won't be the last bit of terrible officiating in a match featuring a Tottenham team this season, I think we all know that. Lots of calls for VAR to be introduced as mistakes on both weekends so far, but it looks a long way off at that level.
From the BBC website: Manchester City's Esme Morgan suffered a broken leg in their match against Tottenham, the club confirmed. The 20-year-old defender was taken off on a stretcher after a collision with Ashleigh Neville early on in City's 2-1 defeat by Spurs at the Academy Stadium. ................................... Apart from a loan spell at Everton for the 2019-20 season, Morgan has spent her entire career at Manchester City.
Scoring an equaliser in injury time from a set-piece against Man Utd? Definitely not the men's team, then!
Didn't we do that once...a long time ago...under Martin Jol? Think Jenas did it? What's weird is that 2006 don't seem that long ago ... boy am I old
I watched the second half. We could have won as our RB, who otherwise played superbly, skied a rebound over an open goal. But Arsenal had a lot more chances.
Yeah, I think you could tell that the midweek travelling and fixture congestion took its toll on us. It also has to be said your goalkeeper made some tremendous saves. I don't get why Eidevall took so long to make substitutions when it was clear that we were lacking energy. However, those were the first points we've dropped in the league so far this season, so I won't hammer him too much. Unfortunately, Man City are useless at the moment and got battered at home to Chelsea. No doubt Emma Hayes will have got a lot of encouragement from that performance and result, especially after we slipped up in a game that we shouldn't have. As it stands, and from what I've seen, I think it's a two-way tussle for the title between Arsenal & Chelsea.
Watford Women are a recently promoted 2nd tier team, but that's a bad few minutes! "Keep it tight before half-time! Don't let your concentration drop!" Or not...
7-0 on 61 minutes. Did they have someone sent off or something? That's some collapse. 8-0 on 71. Doesn't seem to have been any dismissals.
Just had a quick browse and the ladies had two goals disallowed before the scoring started. The shot counts are currently Watford: 1, 0 on target, Spurs: 35, 18 on target. They must be playing a reserve side or something.
